Introduction:

'The Naked City' is a Vice Case allowing Phelps and his partner to investigate a case involving narcotics and the death of a fashion model. There are 5 trophies and 4 of these trophies must be earned at the appropriate time or restarting the case from the beginning may be required. Keep in mind that you can "Quit Out" of the game if you miss something and need to resume to an earlier point in the game. It will resume from the last autosave so make sure you are aware of your save points. If you don't use this method, or don't use the method in time, then you can consider 4 of the trophies missable as related to DLC.

The downloadable content for 'The Naked City' can be found under the Vice Desk once DLC is downloaded and installed.

5 stars is not required but for help with getting 5 stars check the walkthrough under Eight Million Stories trophy.

Find and inspect all of the narcotics in Julia Randall's apartment.

*Missable* In order to complete this you must discover all narcotics clues at the murder scene in the apartment. A Morphine clue is added automatically at the station briefing and doesn't count toward trophy. The trophy unlocks immediately after finding the last narcotics clue at the apartment.

[spoiler=JRA]

  • Empty Morphine Surette - Bottom floor of building (left side as you enter) in a trashcan between apartments 1 and 2.

  • Sleeping Pills - Bedroom floor at foot of bed

  • Benezedrine Prescription - Bedroom nightstand. Inspect (:cross:) until prescription is found.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/358/49.jpg Fakeloo (B) (H)

Tail Henry Arnett from Hollywood Station to the pawnbroker and travel agent without being spotted.

*Missable* This trophy is achieved by successfully tailing Henry Arnett, first in a vehicle and then on foot. You must keep from being detected through this entire tail. ANY restart due to being detected or failing and you will NOT unlock trophy. If unsuccessful, "quit out" and "resume," which will start you at the station interview room prior to the tail. Once completed, the trophy unlocks during a conversation with your partner over an item recovered from a pawn shop (NOT immediately after completing tail).

Remember when following that the red icon of the suspect will flash to indicate either too close or too far away. When on foot, stand close to objects and press :cross: to go into Incognito (cover). Do not use sirens, strike vehicles or move too quickly (like running) or you can be detected.

Escort Heather Swanson to Arnett's apartment without damaging your vehicle.

*Missable* In the course of investigating you will travel to interview burglary victim, Mrs. Evestrom, where you (again) meet her daughter, Heather Swanson. You'll be tasked with escorting (driving) Ms. Swanson safely to Henry Arnett's apartment. It is a long distance away and for the trophy you must not strike any object. If in an accident, "Quit Out" and then "Resume," to again return to the Evestrom mansion before escort. The trophy will NOT unlock if continuing after an accident.

Use your siren and watch for cross traffic at intersections. Go slow even though you are using the siren as other cars will not always move over. Pressing :square: will lead your partner to give directions to the location provided you've pinned it on the map. Upon reaching Henry Arnett's apartment the trophy will unlock (following cutscene).

Here is the most direct route with the least turns. Thanks Vuule:

Shoot every letter down from the tower at the Broadway Hotel.

*Missable* During the final scenes of the game you will have a foot pursuit with a suspect. He will climb a tower of a hotel where the name "Broadway" will be lit in bright lights. Shooting the letters causes the lights to explode. For the trophy, shoot all of the letters out prior to shooting the suspect.

Missable? As in you can't replay the case to get them?

Missable as in you could need to start the entire case over and since it is only 1 case you would basically have to start completely over...that's the missable as it relates to DLC part. Just be aware of the "quite out" method in case something goes wrong. If it saves at a savepoint past the part you need to redo then you have to start completely over for the trophy.

For the Fakeloo trophy, do you have to restart if your partner warns you of being spotted?

No. He may say things like "People are watching us Cole" but this isn't you getting busted by the guy your tailing. He will actually catch you, say something, and you will fail that part of the case (black and white screen). I believe it is best to let them get a little bit far ahead of you and let the red blink a tad bit (if need be) especially on foot. good luck!

Cool beans. Can't wait to play this after work!

In regards to the fakeloo trophy. If you lose the guy you are tailing and then restart the mission, you won't get the trophy either.

I went down the wrong alleyway. :(

I'm going to make a quick little video showing a successful tailing of the suspect. It will be up shortly.

If you fail in any way during the tailing mission you will miss the trophy. Also a suggestion for the guide is maybe add a list of all clues and Question guide.

I link to the best info for the DLC at this point which is on our sister site. The 100% guides are a whole other beast and neither were updated with the DLC info. upon last check. 5 stars also doesn't affect the trophies here in the DLC.

Nice guide.

Tailing trophies sucks soo much, had to restart them 5-6 times..with painfull full cinematics..

Thanks...keep an eye out for the video help I have coming.

This case is longer and better than the other DLC case.

The interviews in this case are very difficult though, the amount of times I got 0 or 1 out of 4 was unreal! Got all the trophies and the 100% easily though!

I agree. In no other case have I scored this terrible at the interview questions. I ended up with 3 stars because of this. Some pretty hard to read people in this here case.

Jesus! Chauffeur Service has gotta be one of the most nerve racking trophies I've gone after in awhile. lol Thanks for the guide.

It's not that bad, is it? I got it on my first try (without knowing it was a trophy, but I had a hunch it might be and on top of that, I didn't want to crash my car with the first-ever passanger other than your partner in the entire game)... just turn on the siren and drive very slowly.

No, it wasn't really hard. Except I kind of built up a habit of letting my partner drive everywhere when I didn't want to hit anything, and driving like a maniac when I was behind the wheel. Also, even when I'm not trying to hit anything, it seems like I get t-boned at every intersection, siren or no. :p But really, I've seen some stupid stuff playing this game. I've had at least a dozen cars swerve INTO the lane I'm in while I have the siren on. You know, cause they have to pull over to the right when they hear the siren! Or pedestrians running in FRONT of my car instead of away from it. And I basically went through the whole trip dreading one of those things happening and having to start all over, especially in the last 3 blocks. lol. ;)

Escort Heather Swanson to Arnett's apartment without damaging your vehicle.

Probably not needed, but here's an image of the route I took to minimize the amount of turns:

A Good-Looking Corpse trophy

you have mentioned you need 4 clues but i think its 3

morphine you get at the briefing and the other 3 are found in her apartment.

i could be wrong though

Yeah I have 4 listed but also list that the one is provided automatically. I don't mention a number in the description. Are you saying I should only list the 3?

Why do I get the feeling this 'DLC' was cut from the main game?...well, it was free so I can't really complain.

Driving part was definitely more stressful than the tailing part. At least we were allowed to go into cover/incognito. First drive, some guy swerved out of his way to crash into me. It didn't help that my PS3 decided it was time to let the fan blow at full power either.

I thought about adding a video but it is one of those things where you just need to take it slow and not make quick moves. I had plenty of 4 star ratings (on otherwise perfect cases) in the main game to know that the AI cars will swerve right into you without a reason.
