Not sure what car I should use or study this guide.What game mode should I start one?

It's actually better to use the motorbike for the majority of the races. There's less chance that people can crush you and you can fit through smaller gaps. This is especially helpful when you race in Greece. There are a few tracks where you can cut corners big time if your small enough. They are passable with the atv, but it's very very tight!

the atv is got much better parts to use on TT's etc

The atv is bigger so it gets more power, but will never go as fast as the bike.

Also, you need to update the guide, the platinum is now possible, it takes a truck load of boosting but you can now achieve it.
