Roadmap Overview: -Estimated trophy difficulty: 4.66/10 -Offline: 41 (33 , 6 , 2 )-Online: 7 (5 , 1 , 1 )-Approximate amount of time to : 15-25 Hours-Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 -Number of missable trophies: None -Glitched trophies: None -Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No. Introduction For any dirt racing fan, MX vs ATV Reflex is a brilliant game to satisfy your mud craving. From a trophy hunters point of view however, I don’t believe it’s one that you can play and completely forget about the trophies. The MotoCareer is a mode that is long enough that you feel you get your money’s worth, but its not so long that you have to grind your way through it. The trophies on the whole are quite easy but, there are a choice few that will leave you tearing your hair out. The trophy difficulty average taken from the poll is 4.66/10 but since the game was released in Europe the game has been patched to adjust the online pairing system and make boosting a whole lot harder. The time needed is between 15 and 25 hours. This is taking into account the difficulty of organizing or attempting legitimately the “To the Victor…” trophy. There are a few cheat codes but none really interfere with the trophies and are mainly to add new riders to the arcade mode. Step 1: MotoSkills Upon loading up the game, you will be presented with a tutorial on how the controls work in the game and how to use the new ‘Reflex’ controls to your advantage. You can choose to skip this but it is recommended that you get it out the way, learn some new tricks and earn a couple of trophies while you’re at it. Step 2: MotoCareer In this step you will be getting the majority of the offline trophies. The trophies for winning the series are awarded once you finish every event but 1 in the early series. You should aim to win all of them first time. Even the miscellaneous events as that will award the “Greatest of All Time” trophy. Going through your career, be mindful when you purchase new vehicles. Don’t just buy for sheer speed. If you have in mind what you’ll be using it for then try to buy accordingly. I found MX bikes with hard suspension work best for Supercross events For freestyle, you’ll be looking for an MX lite with a lot of acceleration to speed up those ramps no trouble, etc. Once you’re done with the race events, the free-ride mode awaits. The three locations are of increasing difficulty so it is best if you wait until you’ve unlocked all vehicle types to attempt the last two areas. Aim for gold on all of the challenges to claim “Precious Medals”. Once you’re done with that, your MotoCareer is over so sit back and watch the credits roll. Step 3: Arcade Mode The final step before you tackle the online mode is to polish off some of the offline trophies that require you to perform a wheelie, stoppie or require you to jump a certain distance. You can do those in arcade free-ride mode or in the Motocareer’s free-ride mode. But the main trophy for this mode is the “You are Legend” trophy. You will have to win on ‘All-Time’ difficulty which is not as tough as it sounds. Step 4: Multiplayer There are a total of 7 trophies to earn online. You will need to win at both of the mini-games, win against 12 human opponents, and complete and win in 25 online playlist events. When you click on the multiplayer section of the game you are presented with a list of modes to play. These are the ‘online playlist’ events. You can only win on the playlisted events as private rooms do not count towards any of the online trophies. There is a way to boost though but it is worth noting that the game is very picky about your network settings. You simply will not be able to join a full game if your NAT is type 3. To switch it to type 2 you will have to open UPD ports 9103 and 6000 follow this link for tips on how to open ports for your specific router. First, have you, or your partner get into a room with no-one else in there. Next, the other booster searches for that room by continuously clicking on the same mode until you’re eventually paired together. It isn’t easy, by any means but if you want to attempt it, post a request in the boosting thread here. Congratulations on your platinum and thanks for reading.

Trophy Guide
Waypoint Series 1![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Waypoint Series 1 in the MotoCareer See “Waypoint Series 3” Waypoint Series 2![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Waypoint Series 2 in the MotoCareer See “Waypoint Series 3” Waypoint Series 3![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Waypoint Series 3 in the MotoCareer Arguably the easiest events in the game. As long as you have your sport 2 truck in the latter events, the competition will not stand a chance. You can cut corners a lot in some of the races as well so be on the lookout for any that will give you the advantage. There are only two waypoint races in each series so they’ll be over before you know it. National Series 1![]() Place 3rd or higher in the National Series 1 in the MotoCareer See “National Series 3” National Series 2![]() Place 3rd or higher in the National Series 2 in the MotoCareer See “National Series 3” National Series 3![]() Place 3rd or higher in the National Series 3 in the MotoCareer The nationals were my least favorite event in the game because of the unpredictable racing surface. Sometimes the surface was so dug up that it would even knock my rider off by driving over it. As long as you pay attention to it and adjust your line then you should be fine. There are 3 races in series 1 and 2 but it really shifts up a gear in 3 with 6 grueling events. You have the option to race 3 qualifying laps to determine the best gate position but you get a decent position even if you choose to skip qualifying. During the event though you will have to finish in the top 5 in the first event and win the second before you can claim the wins so loads of patience is definitely a requirement. Supercross Series 1![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Supercross Series 1 in the MotoCareer See “Supercross Series 3” Supercross Series 2![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Supercross Series 2 in the MotoCareer See “Supercross Series 3” Supercross Series 3![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Supercross Series 3 in the MotoCareer The Supercross races can be a daunting prospect for anyone who is used to the wide circuits of the Waypoint races and the relatively flat Nationals. With narrow circuits in most of these events you will do well to stay on the track after jumps. The key to a good race is to first, have full control over jumps. If you approach a jump at the wrong angle you will end up slamming into spectators. There are lots of mounds as well so if you remember the MotoSkills tutorial on them, you have to pull back on the right analog stick to soften the suspension and maintain a good amount of speed. Same as the Nationals there are 3 events in series 1 and 2 and 6 in 3. Again you’ll have the choice to qualify and in series 3 you’ll have to race 2 events of 3 laps each to claim a win. Freestyle Series 1![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Freestyle Series 1 in the MotoCareer See “Freestyle Series 3” Freestyle Series 2![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Freestyle Series 2 in the MotoCareer See “Freestyle Series 3” Freestyle Series 3![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Freestyle Series 3 in the MotoCareer If you’re good at the tricks and can see opportunity where others may simply drive over then this is the event for you. Freestyle events on the whole aren’t that hard if you’re playing on rookie. The best and most important tip I can give you is that the tier 4 tricks in the ‘Trick Library’, accessed through the pause menu, are gold if you land them. If you have a lot of air in the jump you may also want to consider grouping the tricks, whether it’s a couple of the tier 1’s or 2 hard ones then they’re all bound to impress the judges. You’ll find it doesn’t matter so much if you fall after a trick as well, obviously it doesn’t help but it’s not the end of the world. There are two events to do in series 1 and 2 but as always in series 3 the amount you need double. This time its 4 events. Omnicross Series 1![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Omnicross Series 1 in the MotoCareer See “Omnicross Series 3” Omnicross Series 2![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Omnicross Series 2 in the MotoCareer See “Omnicross Series 3” Omnicross Series 3![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Omnicross Series 3 in the MotoCareer Omnicross is one of my favorite race events. In one of these races you will most likely get the “Coming on Strong” trophy for lapping an opponent. The road surface is really uneven but soon enough, the more laps you do around the tracks the better you get at combating this problem. The first event you race you will most likely not have unlocked anything other than the bikes so your best bet is to steer clear of the trucks and buggies or risk getting clambered into. The race is winnable with an MX or MX lite because you can corner much sharper and you have much more control over your vehicle so don’t worry about that. No doubt the races are easiest won in the buggies and trucks so switch to them whenever you get the opportunity. There are 3 races in series’ 1 and 2 which means 6 in series 3. Each of the 6 races in series 3 though each require you to win a massive 5 laps so gear yourself up for some endurance racing beforehand. Champion Sport Track Series 1![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Champion Sport Track Series 1 in the MotoCareer See “Champion Sport Track Series 3” Champion Sport Track Series 2![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Champion Sport Track Series 2 in the MotoCareer See “Champion Sport Track Series 3” Champion Sport Track Series 3![]() Place 3rd or higher in the Champion Sport Track Series 3 in the MotoCareer All of the Champion Sport Track events are done on the same beach and there are in fact only two track layouts that you will have to race in both directions. These are fairly easy races but the thing to watch out for is your speed coming out of the sharp corners. To avoid this, slow down a little bit before entering the corner so it’s easier to accelerate more coming out. Series 1 and 2 contain 2 races each. Series 3 contains 4 events at 5 laps each. It’s simple to learn the layout of these so you should have no problem dusting them off if you’re playing on rookie. Gold Standard![]() Earn a Gold medal in any MotoCareer Free Ride Challenge See “Precious Medals” Step Into the Arena![]() Complete an Online Playlist match Just join onto any online playlist event and finish it to unlock this one. Winning is not required. To the Victor...![]() Place 1st in an Online Playlist match with 11 human opponents The hardest trophy in the game. Finding a 12 player match can be hard on some modes but the one mode that always seems to have 11 other players in is the ‘Nationals’ playlist. There are some really good players on this game but it is most definitely possible to claim this one without boosting. If you try and don’t succeed try the boosting thread here. The least used mode on the playlist seems to be ‘Off-Road Mayhem’ so if you and your partners link up in the same lobby then the trophy will be yours. Leveler![]() Finish ahead of any opponent with an Experience Level higher than yours in an Online Playlist match This will most likely get done on one of your first races. There is an experience system used in the online mode that tracks your progress. You still get experience even when you finish last making this trophy easier than it sounds as the weaker players, as long as they’ve played a race you will be lower than them. I would say again use ‘Off-Road mayhem’ because if you choose a sport buggy and the others race with bikes then you will be able to plough through the competition. Also you don’t actually have to win it, so if a high leveled guy is having a bad race, which is most likely on ‘Off-Road Mayhem’ because of all the harsh bumps in the roads then you will need to come any position higher than them.

You're It!![]() Win a Tag Mini-Game in an Online Playlist match This fun min-game involves racing towards a comedic helmet shaped like a freakish monster and capturing it. The aim is to hold onto it until the 60 seconds run out or chasing down the guy who has it and knocking into him to get it back. There are 3 rounds to play through, finish on top in 2 of them to unlock this. For both of the mini-games you should always pay attention after the game is over to see what the next event is. If its tag and you already have this trophy then ‘veto’ it and hope other players do to switch it to snake. Snake in the Grass![]() Win a Snake Mini-Game in an Online Playlist match Basically in this mini game you have to knock out your opponent by fencing them in with your snake trail until you’re the last one riding. Don’t drive into other people’s, or even your own trails or you will be eliminated. Moto Skills![]() Complete MotoSkills 1, 2 and 3 See “Master Skills” Master Skills![]() Complete MotoSkills 4, 5 and 6 MotoSkills is the tutorial round that you face the first time you put in the game. I recommend playing through all of the scenarios at that time to get an idea of the basics of driving in this game. You face six tutorials in total, you unlock one after the other so you have to do them in order. None are too challenging as you can imagine and you’ll unlock these two trophies. Trickster![]() Perform any airborne Trick and land successfully You are given the basics of tricking in the tutorial so you can either go for this on your first race of wait until later where the freestyle events require you to do tricks. Hat-Trick!![]() Perform three consecutive, unique airborne Tricks in one jump Refer to the video in the “Long Jumper” trophies description for the location to try for this trophy. Firstly pick a bike with a high top speed, I used the ‘Blaze 250R’ MX bike. As you’re coming up to the ramp shown in the video tilt the analog stick back to put the riders weight into the back wheel and get more distance on the jump. Be ready with your tricks, the quickest ones that are performed are the ‘Heel Clicker’, ‘Bar Hop’ and the ‘Shaolin’. Make sure you use three unique tricks and land the jump for this trophy to unlock. Coming on Strong![]() Lap an Opponent in a Race This one will most likely come towards the end of the game where you get better and the events get longer. If you feel like you need to try for it, the best way around it is to use two controllers and go into split screen mode on the ‘Multiplayer’ section and it will pop as soon as you drive past your opponent or yourself. Ace in the Hole![]() Win 10 Holeshots At the start of each MX or ATV race you should notice a white line at the first corner or at the end of the first straight. The driver who is the first one to pass this line wins the ‘holeshot’. This can be won on the ‘Motocareer’ or even online so try to pass that line first 10 times to get this trophy. Showboat![]() Pull off three unique tricks in a Race Event While playing through the races in Motocareer try to find a track with loads of hills when you can pull off tricks. I used Prairie Valley as there are many adequate hills to pull off different tricks. Its not too difficult and as soon as you finish the race event this one will unlock. Tuning In![]() Adjust a Tuning Slider and save the new setting You can adjust your bike or ATV’s setting through the ‘Garage’ menu. You can access it by going into the ‘MotoCareer’, pressing square, then go to ‘My Rides’. Once you equip a vehicle you will be given the ‘Vehicle Tuning’ option through the button. There are tuning sliders for both braking and steering so adjust them the way you prefer and save it by exiting. You can even change it back after if you like. Keeping it Clean![]() Complete a Race in a Machine with all body panels still attached to your vehicle Complete a race using any of the buggies or sport trucks and try not to crash. You may not need to try for this as you go through the Motocareer but if you do just race really carefully and cross that line in any position for the trophy to unlock. Skeletal Remains![]() Complete a Race in a Machine with no body panels remaining on your vehicle The complete opposite to “Keeping it clean”. I got this trophy through normally playing using the Sport Buggy as it appears to have less body panels to knock off. If you need to try for this one I’m sure you won’t mind smashing into things at every opportunity, knocking off panels as you go and finish the race in any postition to get this to unlock. Wreck-less![]() Avoid a Wreck See “Close Calls!” Long Jumper![]() Land a jump distance of 300 feet or greater The best location by far to do this trophy is Reyes, AZ. Here there are plenty of massive hills to get a lot of air from. Choose this location when setting up your free ride session and you’re free to roam around exploring and searching. Here’s a video that shows the best location for the jump In this location it is also possible to do the three tricks in a row for the “Hat-Trick!” trophy. Use a bike with the best top speed I used the ‘Blaze 250R’ for mine. Also, be sure to land the jump bails do not count. Wheelie King![]() Hold a Wheelie trick for 150 feet or longer Find a long, flat location to try for this trophy. I chose Reyes, AZ in free-ride mode to get it. The section you’re presented with as soon as you get dropped off is the perfect place to try this. It can be very difficult to get the balance right between analog stick and acceleration. Before you start keep pressing select intil you get to ‘User Camera’. With this you can use the D-Pad to change the angle of the camera and set it up in a way that you can see half of the road ahead and still see where you’re front wheel is. First get a little bit of speed going, because you’ll find it gets really annoying if you pull the wheelie from a stop and constantly fall off. Just keep on practicing and you will soon get the balance right between acceleration and brake to keep it going for 150 feet. Stoppie Master![]() Hold a Stoppie trick for 75 feet or longer Yet another difficult trophy. Again find a long, flat location like the one in “Wheelie King” in Reyes, AZ. Get a good amount of speed going, tilt the right analog stick forward and press to bring the back wheel up. You will probably come up with your own technique trying this but the way I did it was to get the back wheel up and then slowly come off the button to get the distance, if you see the back wheel getting too far up then accelerate a little bit to bring it to the right level. Ironman of Off-road![]() Win all Series in the MotoCareer Even though the trophy descriptions says ‘win’ all series, you only in fact have to finish on the podium like the “…series 1, 2 and 3” trophies require to unlock this one. You should be aiming to finish every race in 1st position though to unlock the “Greatest of All Time” trophy. Champion of Champions![]() Win all Face-Off Challenges in the MotoCareer Face off challenges are unlocked in the final few series. They are just normal races but are only against one other opponent and are arguably easier to come first than the other races. There are four in total and are located in: - The National Series 3 - The Omnicross Series 3 - The Supercross Series 3 - The Champion Sport Track Series 3 Endurance![]() Complete 25 Online Playlist matches This will come over time. Be sure not to leave matches when the win is too far out of reach and this trophy will come faster than you think. If you’re good enough it can be paired with the “Long Live the King” trophy where you need to win 25 online playlist matches.

Perfection![]() Earn a judge's score of 10.0 in a Freestyle Event In the freestyle events you are judged on difficulty, flow, variety and execution. For this trophy it is only required to score a 10 on one of these categories. A good tactic to get a 10 on the difficulty section is to go onto the pause menu before the start of the event and look at ‘Trick Library’. Scroll down the list of tricks and look out for the tier 4 tricks at the bottom. Try to use as many of these in the event and your difficulty score will go up. It doesn’t have to be a perfect round by any means so it will still give you the 10 for difficulty even if you fall off a couple of times. Freestylin'![]() Win a Freestyle Event in the MotoCareer without repeating a trick This will be easiest on the first few freestyle events as you need quite a low overall score to win it. You will actually have to be careful pulling the tricks and not just mash the analog stick for this one. Make a mental note of every trick you perform. There are loads of combinations so in theory it shouldn’t be that hard. If you’re having trouble winning, it won’t hurt to do some of the tier 4 tricks to jack up some of the potential scores. Close Calls!![]() Avoid 100 Wrecks In the MotoSkills tutorial you are given the basics of avoiding a wreck. This involves tilting the right analog stick in the direction specified by the green arrow that flashes every time you don’t land a jump or trick correctly. You will definitely come across a lot of these during your game and the more you play it the more instinctive it becomes to tilt the right analog stick whenever you see the green arrow. Track your progress by opening up your ‘Motocard’ accessed from the main menu and scrolling down to the “Close Calls!” section of ‘Trophies’ where you will see the number out of 100 that you already have. You are Legend![]() Place 1st in any Race on All-Time difficulty Not as hard as you may think. Go onto ‘Arcade’, choose the event that you’re best at, mine was Omnicross. Then choose the vehicle you want to race with, whether its your own or a named rider. Next you come to the locations screen so from here pick the track you’re most comfortable with and be sure to set the ‘AI Opponents’ to ‘All Time’, accessed by pressing . For my race I ended up finishing 25 seconds ahead of the competition racing a 2 lap race even though I had to respawn 3 or 4 times. The track was ‘Barranca Del Diablo’ and my vehicle was the ‘Burst 600, Rainbow’ sport 2 truck. Greatest of All Time![]() Place 1st in all events in the MotoCareer This one is simple in theory. If you have been aiming to finish on the podium in most events then go back and look for any trophy symbol that isn’t gold and replay until you finish first. You will also have to win the miscellaneous races as well. the ‘Outrunner’ challenges, ‘Overthrow’, ‘Elimination’ and so on. Claim gold in them and your Motocareer is now finished. The free-ride mode doesn’t count towards this trophy. Precious Medals![]() Earn a Gold medal in all MotoCareer Free Ride Challenges There are four free-ride challenges to complete in each of the three maps and you will need to obtain the gold medals in all of them for this trophy to unlock. The challenges are Discovery, Hill Climb, Target Practice, and Trail Blazer. Hillgrove, NY For the first of the 3 free-ride locations, Hillgrove’s challenges aren’t too hard. You will be able to do all of them easily. On the target practice challenge be on the lookout for your next target before you hit the one you’re aiming at. If you’re well prepared for them then you should breeze through. For the discovery, follow this video to lead you to all 3 of the flag locations. Reyes, AZ Next is Reyes. This is where they start to get a little more challenging. The hill climb took me a few tries using the ‘Blaze 250R’ because you will find that you fall backwards as it gets steeper. You will get no such problem using a sport 2 truck or buggy. Reyes’ 3 discovery locations are shown in the video below. Icarus, MT The final map is the hardest. The challenges are on a much broader scale than the last two. There are 9 flags compared to the 3 in each of the other maps. A sport 2 truck is a definite for the Trail Blazer and Hill Climb challenges. For Trail Blazer, I cut the first corner by driving up the hill. Then if you take care in coming off it so you don’t hit trees then the 45 second time limit for gold becomes more accessible. You’ve just got to experiment with cutting the corners and you will find the right route for you. The target practice will need a bike with the highest top speed you can find to reach the high targets. Find the way the targets flow and keep practicing to get them all within the time limit. The video below shows the route to all 9 discovery flags. Long Live the King![]() Place 1st in 25 Online Playlist matches Simply choose the mode that you’re best at, for example, mine was ‘Off-Road Mayhem’ because of the uneven ‘Omnicross’ events where you could bulldoze through the MX and ATV riders, and win 25 of them. To keep track of the number of events won go to the main menu, and then enter the ‘MotoCard’ section and select ‘Trophies’. Scroll through, locate the “Long Live the King” trophy and next to it you will see a number out of 25 that you have completed. Platinum Trophy![]() Win all Bronze, Silver and Gold Trophies Congratulations on your platinum!

Nice guide mate!

And maybe add some info about the Victor trophy that you need UDP port 9103 forwarded to your PS3. And that your PS3 needs to be on NAT1 or NAT2. (if you join empty national rooms all the time, or get kicked after every race something is still wrong). I have also found out that if you have NAT1 or NAT2 and you disable UPnP and you still stay in NAT1/NAT2 the connection is more stable. I could not find anything specific in the NAT-forwarding logfile of my router. Only that it forwarded 9103 correctly. And that my speedtouch 716v5 would not work in a descent way or get the NAT to work (even when it said NAT2). Only getting a different router (Draytek V2710) got my problems fixed. Might be that the connection issues should have their own topic? Not sure about that or what the PS3T policies are about these things. |

I've already got a little bit of info about the connection settings in the roadmap but I can't really go into too much detail because the guide team like the roadmaps to be short and sweet. I personally think its a brilliant idea to create a new thread about the connection issues. Its only been release in Europe a couple of months so I imagine there's still a load of people that can benefit from it.
