Default Amazing Guitarists

So the Carlos Santana thread got me thinking...who are the best guitarists of All-Time? The guitar is an incredible instrument that has been tackled the world over by talented musicians. Carlos Santana is amazing, but there are many others throughout the eons of history that can really strum those strings.

So Who Are Your Favorite Guitarists?

Here is/are mine:

1. Rodrigo Y Gabriela

2. Tom Morello - Rage Against The Machine

3. John Frusciante - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Agreed Tom Morello is absoultly amazing. He has the most unique sounding guitar. Buckethead is another amazing guitarist. And how could you have this thread without Slash.

I really think John Mayer should be in here. While he doesn't have like awesome solos, all of his songs are very unique and aren't just a few chords thrown together.

Well I already posted this in the other thread, so I guess I'll post it here too:

Amazing guitarists? Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) immediately springs to mind. Very awesome guitar solos.

Billy Gibbons and Jimi Hendrix are AMAZING! wow...I saw ZZ Top at Verizon Wireless Music Center last summer. Awesome show.

@legndorock - I live in the town Axl grew up in but I have never been a fan of Guns'n'Roses. Just don't know why.

Eric Clapton was another nice addition.

I like Axl as a singer, but as a person he's a complete dick....

Some insane solos:

Zack Wylde is a beast in this song, skip to 3:00 for the solo:

Who could honestly forget the solo in Highway Star? Ritchie Blackmore doing what he does best, skip to 3:45 for the solo:

Diamond Head, skip to 5:15 for solo:

And of course possibly the greatest solo ever created, Eruption:

In no order:

Paul Ryan and Jeremy Turner (Origin)
Karl Sanders (Nile)
Alex Lifeson (Rush)
Herman Li and Sam Totman (Dragonforce)
Justin Broadrick (Godflesh, Final, Jesu . . . plenty of other projects)
Denis D'Amour (Voivod)
