Kombat Pass question

Does the Kombat Pass do anything? I bought this game new recently and I've been able to play online without using the code that came with my game, I also looked on the PSN store and saw that they don't sell it on there.

Didn't the game ask you to activate the online code before joining online?... Kinda weird. I bought MK in november and needed to activate the code.

I bought the game used and I never had to enter any code to play online. I guess for some reason you don't have to have the code anymore. I was expecting to have to pay $10, so it's nice to know I can spend that on something else.

Yeah, I think they took it off after the outage of April because people who bought it new were having problems with their own code, I used mine before the outage but I think it's no longer needed because of that.
