Yes it works. Deleted all game data and didn't autosave. Then chose a 2 player game and bought every street (brown, light blue, purple, orange and 1 from the red) then I made sure I got enough money and bought every hotel. Platinum YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH

dont understand why alot of people are having glitches? i never had one at all. and no hotel maximus is not glitched as i got it no problems.

yes but it aint glitched. unless its certain copies of the games is fucked!

Maybe the newest v1.04 patch fixed the glitch, or maybe it only affects games under certain save file conditions, who knows but I didn't got hit by the glitch, the trophy appeared right after my 1st attempt.

I got it on my first attempt also, without deleting anything.
