Working No Hit/Shut Out Strategy!

This is the strategy I used to get the No-Hitter on All-Star and Shut-Out on All-Star trophies (at time of post I am 1 of 6 players on Playfire to get these): If the batter you just faced got out then pause the game and select "Save and Quit", save as New In-Game Save, then load the game again and go after the next guy. If the batter gets a hit you once again pause and select "Save and Quit", but this time when the save screen comes up hit "O" to cancel the operation. Then load the game from after the last out you got. This gives you the No-Hitter/Shut-Out trophies.

The strategy can also be used for the Grand Slam and Walk-Offs. Once you get into a situation with the bases loaded save and quit, then load and keep trying until you hit the grand slam. Same goes for Walk-offs, once you get into the situation save and quit, then load and go for the win, if you get a walk off HR it will count for both related trophies, if its just a hit then try again.

Hope this helps! And remember it has to be done on All-Star.

P.S. This will be the longest baseball game you have ever played...

can u do this by setting the innings to 1???

Also I do not see the Save and Quit option in exhibition mode. in this only in franchise mode?

nvm. i just did a franchise and yeah it is only in the franchise mode. so my question of can u do this with 1 inning games is not so good of a question because u cant do one inning games with franchise mode.

yeah im trying to get these trophies right now. im in the 5th inning. its taken about an hour so far. but its been fun. i havent had too much trouble yet.

I'm just going to go for the perfect game. That will unlock the no-hitter trophy as well, and if I didn't already have the shut out trophy, that one too.

I almost got that... but gave up 3 grounders just through the infield, got the shut-out tho so now i can say i actually did that trophy legit. lol

i was trying to get the no hitter and shut out, but after i gave up a double in like the sixth inning, i went to go cancel the save opertation, but i wasn't really paying attention to much and accidently saved the game, so i just got the shut out.

It didn't really matter too much to me because i still got the win for the Streaker trophy, so ill just get the no hitter the next game.

haha i did that too the first time i tried to do this... so i just started over again, worked out better because i was able to get better stats at the plate and the opportunity to get the grand slam trophy

lol good. im glad im not the only one. yeah that is the great thing about these trophies. no matter what mode u play, u are working towards trophies with the It Takes Time ones.

Can other settings be modified, but keep the difficulty on All-Star, and still get trophies? Or does everything have to stay default?
