Can't get trophies?

So i just started playing mlb 09 the show (had it in my collection since ages ago, never really played it until now), and no trophies seem to unlock.

Figured i'd test Managerial trophy to see if it unlocks.

quit RTTS, went into Manager Mode, selected Yankees as 1p, and Royals as CPU. When the game started, wait for one pitch, then i pressed start--> fast forward --> end of the game , yankees win by 7-2, press exit and nothing happens. tried it about 3-4 times, but trophy never pops. am i doing it wrong, or ?

edit: i got The Salami, so guess i'm just doing something wrong with managerial

I got The Salami, but i haven't been able to get any other trophies. done the walk-off HR and walk-off hit, but nothing's registering.

does anyone even play this game anymore? :P

With the Managerial trophy, you need to manage all 9 innings. You cannot fast forward. Just start the game and let it play. Do something to kill the time and check back once in a while to see if there needs to be a pitching change or someone gets ejected or injured and a replacement is needed.

As for the walkoff homerun or hit, I believe you have to be the home team and you cannot skip. Also, I think the game needs to be 9 innings as well.
