Introduction:

Welcome to Michael Jackson: The Experience. Playing through this game was a bitter sweet experience. Bitter in as much as it reminded me of what a legend we lost, and sweet because it reminded me of some of the wonderful music he left behind.

Michael Jackson: The Experience contains 29 fantastic tracks, all of which are accessible from the get go. Unlike other singing and dancing games there is no career mode, and although there is unlockable content it will not affect your pursuit of trophies. You just choose which song you want and play. However, also unlike many other singing and dancing games this one is actually quite tough. With some singing games you could get away sticking the mic next to a noisy fan and end up with 5 , but not with this game. The pitch recognition is much more accurate in this game and requires someone with a half decent singing voice. Also this game has come under some criticism as the dancing parts are really difficult to score points on, but at the end of the day skill, talent and practice should see you through. Good luck.

To get trophies quickly here is a three step roadmap...

Step One: Play through all the songs with One Mic & Two Move Controls.

To get set up make sure that your Playstation is logged into Playstation Network and that the eye camera is turned on. Power up two Playstaion Move controls and plug in One Microphone. When selecting your first song you have the option of playing the original version of the song or a short version. It’s important that you DO NOT select a short version as this disables the trophies. The total running time of all 29 original versions is 2h 08m 17s, so with loading times and menus you’re looking at 2¼ hours per play through.

I’ve included a track list in this guide, feel free to print it off. As you play through the songs tick them off and include your singing and dancing scores for quick reference. As you play through aim to score over 10,000 points (which gives you 5 , 2000 points per ) on as many songs as you can to avoid any mop up. I also advise working through the songs in this order to avoid confusion.

If you’re playing alone grab the mic and leave the move controllers to one side, if you’re playing with some friends get the strongest singer to grab the mic and the rest of you dance with the move controls.

Select Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough with one singer and two dancers (keep these settings for all songs in this play through) and complete the song. This should get you...
Dice Your first song (one singer)
Leg Kick Your first song (at least two dancers)
Once you’ve finished the song select ‘Best moments’ and you’ll see 5 photos of your performance and 1 video. Save them all and upload the 5 photos to Facebook.

Next select Rock With You and do exactly the same. This should get you...
Monster Pose Save 10 photos
BackPack Post 10 photos on your Facebook profile
Now you’ve got these two trophies you no longer have to worry about the photos, but carry on saving the videos.

Continue through the list and once you’ve completed Bad you should unlock...
Click-Click Chest - 10 different songs (one singer)
Step-Shuffle-Pow - 10 different songs (at least two dancers)
Monster Breakdown - Save 10 videos
Once you’ve got Monster Breakdown you can stop saving the videos and just carry on through the songs as best you can.

By the time you’ve done all 29 songs you should also have...
Kick Freeze and Repeat 20 different songs (one singer)
Gallup 20 different songs (at least two dancers)
Side Glide 29 different songs (one singer)
Zero Gravity Lean 29 different songs (at least two dancers)

In total this should give you a minimum of 7 , 2 and 2 + any other skill trophies you may have unlocked along the way.

Step Two: Play through all the songs with One Move Controller & Two Mics.

This play through is very similar to the first only this time focusing on dancing rather than singing. If you’re playing alone turn on one move control and lay the mics down to one side. If playing with friends hand the best dancer the move control and the other players can sing. Play through all 29 songs again all with 3 players set to one dancer and two singers. Also this time round you don’t need to worry about saving photos and videos.

Church Hop Your first song (two singers)
Hop Walk 10 different songs (one dancer)
Shuffle 10 different songs (two singers)
Cross With Scoot 20 different songs (one dancer)
Military March 20 different songs (two singers)
360 Airwalk 29 different songs (one dancer)
Lock and Pop 29 different songs (two singers)

In total this should give you a minimum of 11 , 4 and 4 + any other skill trophies you may have unlocked along the way.

Step Three: Any mop up that may be needed.

Ideally by now your Platinum should have popped up, and if so very well done. However if it hasn’t hopefully you shouldn’t be far off. Here is a list of 9 ‘skill’ trophies which are possible to miss in the first two play throughs. Check out the scores on your list and use it as a guide to see which tracks you can improve on to unlock any trophies you’re missing
