MGS 4 has no trophies but 2 and 3 do?

They don't have to retrain people in "old code", it wont take millions of dollars or months and months. Sony's review process is only 2 weeks and they wouldn't re-press the disc because they are not making new copies at this point it would just be a patch.

The MGS4 engine was notoriously difficult for KP to program from what I've read. That's probably why we haven't got trophies or a ''Sub'' release like Substance and Subsistence.

Even today, it would certainly boost their sales a little. Lots of people would buy the game again only to replay it with trophies.

I think most devs or publishers do not grasp the value of trophies/achievements yet

I have got GTA4 and uncharted 1 platinums, both games olders than MGS4 and both games were released without trophy support, but they got a patch that add trophies to them, so i think that konami/kojima productions didnt put trophies on MGS4 because they probably couldnt make the trophies work correctly with the game, al least that is my opinion

The reason they will not patch trophies in MGS4 is because of the cost of the patch, Hideo must think the new game sales because of Trophy Support would not cover the cost of the patch or vey little profit that it's not worth doing. New games would not be pressed just because of Trophy Support GTA 4 is proof of that hell even the Platinum Edition didn't even have Trophies until you started up the game to download the patch. It'a ashame really that MGS4 will not be patched anytime soon and if they do one day include Trophy Support it'll be because your buying it to play on the PS4 just like HD Collections...

At least I'm proud to have gotten all the Emblems, 5 Big Boss ones and completed the game 51 times. I got 5 Big Boss emblems but only 1 Chicken, that one was lame as hell, had to leave my PS3 ON during a whole night while I was crouched on a tiny cave.
