What game are you talking about? Two Worlds II?
It is a great game, and is not confusing. It is probably the most accessible RPG I have ever played. The leveling up is great too.
If you enjoy shooters though, I don't think you can go wrong with Dead Space 2.

Info:
-I don't usually like RPGs but I'm looking to kill some time between now and Killzone 3
-I like shooters
-I like games where I can level up my character and he gets better over time
-I don't like games that are confusing and have like 100 different enemies and you have to memorize everything about them so you can be successful.
