hey Wolfwood, I love the thread for tips on the S rank. I didnt see this tidbit in your posts, but I think it would be helpful to emphasize that each thing you are ranked on time, zandatsu, kills, etc.) caps about a 1000 points each, now I do not know what the minimum for each is but i'll see how low they can get before they drop to an A rank, the minimum for a S battle I just had was 5400, and I had a 100 hit combo on the two choppers. Additionally, I like using my sai to chain combos. Im playing through a second time on easy now to get the collectibles.
