Yeah I saw them and I would love to get them as well, but I'm concerned of the same things. I love the SRV song and wouldn't mind the BBK one, but I'm thinking I might get 30% mastery on most of the sections there, although it would probably be a good learning tool to attempt them. I'll have to see, I haven't played it in about a week or so and I'm afraid to restart as I know I'll become re-addicted again And thanks for the b-day wishes
I'd love some older metal type ones as well. I just wish they'd release the DLC alot faster and at a higher quantity then 3 at most every 2 weeks. My problem is I'm actually more interested in learning new songs now instead of plating it, but that's probably because of all I have left is the mini-games and they don't appeal to me really. The true fun for me is just playing the songs, learning new ones and mastering as many as I can, especially the ones with solos so it helps me work on my dexterity. Hell, before Rocksmith, I barely used my pinkie to play all that much and now I incorporate it all the time and it makes a world of difference in playing alot of stuff I used to know as it's 10x easier now.
I'd pick that up. I kinda know how to play Kryptonite already. It would be fun DLC. Im at the point where I only need a few trophies and will be happy to finally get the plat so I can just play to learn new songs. I'm still holding onto hope for some 80's hair bands. That's the most fun for me to play. God damn, I love this game.
Not sure if you're a fan of theirs, but it looks like next week's DLC pack is going to be 3 Doors Down related as they did a screen shot of one of the songs on Facebook and it seems to be "Loser" by them. If that's the case, then it should be a pretty easy pack to pick up and run with, especially if it has "Kryptonite", although I already know those two, so hopefully the third track will be off one of their later albums ("Here With Out You", "Not My Time" or "Let Me Go" highest hopes, although they'll probably put a new song on there like they did with the Megadeth pack).
I have to get myself in the mindset to just finish the game off already, but everytime I start it up, I just want to play songs instead of dealing with the minigame crap. Plus lately I've been learning a handful of other songs I've wanted to for some time just on my own (outside of the game). I think I'll probably try to knock out at least one of the Ducks games tonight, then all I'll have left is the Chords/Harmonics/Scale/Bends ones.
The 50 effects is easy as long as you just make it to something like 70-80000 in the different songs, and even then I think you only need about 20 of them or so in order to get the amount required. For the level 11, it won't take that long as I think I got there about have way through the 48(?) events required for the guitars.
The bending one gave me issues because for some reason it wouldn't save my progress after the first run and kept restarting me at the beginning, but after the last update, it seemed to have fixed it and I was able to knock it out quickly. The palm muting one is a bitch and I still can't get it, even with trying all the "tricks" everyone keeps giving. It's upsetting because I know how to palm mute properly, but it just doesn't register crap.
The arcade games are last on my list because until I get the palm mute one down, then there's no point in going after that those yet, although I think I do have 2 of them already.
I think I'm going to just stack four songs I've mastered, and boost up my RSP score to level 11 and unlock all the guitars then figure out how to unlock 50 effects. Then it's just a matter of getting the arcade game trophies which will require me to delete the recent patch and use the pause cheat. I'm going to platinum this game one way or another.
I have to get the stupid bend and palm muting technique done, which are unnecessarily harder than they should be.
When I started to get to that point, I started sub'ing in 2-3 songs I already knew (or mastered) and left 1-2 of the ones they picked and just worked on those. There are a few that even now I still can't get that 90k limit for some odd reason, so after I try to get them a few times, I just switch them to another one as well until I get one that works. Finishing off all the "events" to get the guitars ended up me picking 4 of the however many songs I had mastered since it didn't require me to practice them prior and then played it, then rinsed and repeated. Now that that is done, I'm back to working on the rest of the songs, but yeah, some of them are insane. They just released the Blink 182 song pack yesterday, 3 really easy songs if you need some filler type things.
