Yeah, it did. I'll give it that. And better graphics. BUT thats pretty obvious considering it was a sequel

I'll agree that the Materia System was far better than the Junction System. But VIII had better characters and weapons

Well, story wise 8 wins. BUT, the combat goes to 7

I like VII, VIII, IX and X the most but VIII is definately my favourite, way better than VII I reckon.

So I assume you like FF8? I prefer 7
