Because of the chance of the hidden characters appearing.

Maybe not, just redoing an easily missed one like the Blood Pack after reinstalling the patch might persuade the trophy to pop .

Having never played this game beyond the demo, I can't really suggest how to move forward except maybe try deleting and reinstalling the trophy patch.

Reusing items shouldn't make any difference but knowing this game, anything is possible .

Yeah I don't know if I can. The last two games I did were pretty hard - one had a ridiculous amount of grinding and the other had really tough timed challenges. I'll try to get every trophy I can but I'm sure there will be some out there I cannot do. I don't know why I do it, I just like to see if I can do it.

You mean you only rented this gem?! But yeah, maybe you just need a little break from it. Its definitely doable, and its not too hard .
