You should get the egogate things as you go, as they are cumulative through playthroughs + they give you cash.

But with my method, you upgrade it the round after you get it

Try it, see how it goes. I found the rocket launcher killed you off more than anything and the blade cannon was too annoying to upgrade as it's costly. The last area on round 9 I was crapping myself, so as soon as I entered I threw 4 turrets, 3 mines and 2 flares down at sat in the corner. The screen was lagging everywhere, then I activated those blade conveyer belt things and then all the enemies had gone. 3 - 4 slashers spawn in the final area on wave 9

Here's my round 10 run:

1. Money
2. Weapons (shotgun)
3. Money (use all on shotgun)
4. Supplies (Mines)
5. Money (use on shotgun and mines)
6. Armour (proto #1)
7. Supplies (auto turret)
8. Health
9. Armour (proto #2)
10. Trophy

I had about 100K left over at the end too, and I only bought shotgun. I got to round 9 loads of times with other methods, but this worked best for me

What routes are you taking? I hate the slashers but I have a good way of killing them, use a fully upgraded shotgun and it takes 4 shots.

It's pretty simple actually, if you take the right route. I did it with my dad and he isn't the greatest at video games
