Don't buy Tokyo Jungle yet. It's WAY too expensive. It's still 4000円 used at the store close to me, which is more than $50. The North American PS Store will be getting Tokyo Jungle as a PSN title for only $15 at the end of this month. Much better to wait till then, especially since it'll be in English (And the trophies are exactly the same).
As for the 5000円 card, it depends on what you like. Most of the Japanese games that aren't in America are dating simulations. I don't care for them at all, honestly, but some people really dig them. What Japanese games are you looking into? Any in particular that you are interested in?
