Yep, you need to unlock them to use them online first. Its also best going through single player first as you'll know where all the power plays are.

So, the cars you unlock in SP are the ones you can use online?

The Elite GT12. You can unlock it by finishing every career event in 1st place!

Only 6, but one of them is getting an online form of 1. You start at 99 and have to keep finishing in the top half to do up, otherwise you go down!

I did it in one week. Probably about 20 hours total! The online might be harder now if there are better players.
