Default DaFazt's Official Introduction

Well I’ve been a member of PS3T for over a year now and I’ve never made an official introduction but it’s never too late I guess. Got the idea from Bounty V.

About me:

According to the Jung Typology Test I am INFJ, so you can click the link to have an understanding of what kind of person I am. If you’re too lazy to read all that though I like to think of myself as a nice and caring guy who is a bit shy at first but opens up once I get to know you, and has a good sense of humor.

Gaming:

PS1 days:
I’ve basically been gaming my whole life. I started off with a PS1, which my brother and I got as a Christmas present one year (1997 I think) from our uncle. Our first games where Hot Wheels: Turbo Racing, and Moto Racer, both of which we still have to this day. We played that system until the cutscenes in the games wouldn’t work properly, so we would lay it down at all sorts of weird angles, which seemed to be a quick fix (don’t ask me how it worked, all I know is it did). Once it finally died we took it out in the driveway with our dad and some friends and beat the shit out of it like the scene from Office Space.

PS2 days:
Eventually we saved up enough money in a giant glass jar to buy a used PS2 I think in 2003. Our first games on that system were Kingdom Hearts and Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. That system lasted about 2 and ½ years until it stopped reading PS2 discs. So we then saved up money again (no big glass jar this time) and bought a Slim PS2, which is working beautifully to this very day.

PS3 days:
Christmas of 2009 we got a PS3 Slim 120gb along with CoD: W@W and the 1st Assassin’s Creed. My PSN ID DaFaztFingaz is basically a gansterized(I don’t think that’s a word) version of TheFastFingers.

The games I’m looking forward to the most this year are Diablo III, Bioshock Infinite, GTA 5, Borderlands 2, Hitman: Absolution.

Some of my favorite games:

Final Fantasy VII

Bioshock
Diablo II
Worms: Armageddon
Return to Castle Wolfenstein(multiplayer)
Spyro the Dragon

Trophies:

I didn’t start going for trophies until almost a year after we got a PS3. The 1st platinum I ever got was Dead Space sometime in March of 2010. I didn’t really pay much attention to trophies until January of 2011 when I got my wisdom teeth out. I had just finished Devil May Cry 4 and I needed to play something to wash away the memories of that awful game, so I picked up GoW II which I had already achieved the majority of the trophies in and so I decided I might as well get the rest of them since I had nothing better to do.

And so things just kind of took off from there, I later signed up to PS3T in February to get a boosting partner for my bro's game Madden 10, a platinum that I still don’t have because I don’t know anything about football. I’m currently on an indefinite trophy hunting hiatus though, I kind of just got sick of the repetitiveness of boosting for online trophies and stuff (plat BF:BC and you’ll see where I’m coming from), so I’ve just been leisurely going for trophies until I feel like really trying for them again.

My favorite platinum has probably been WipEout HD. It was my first experience with the Wipeout franchise and I just fell in love with it.

Gamercard:

Music:

Besides playing videogames I also enjoy a lot of music. I learned to play piano when I was about 6 but quit when I was about 10. When I was 13 I taught myself the electric guitar and have been casually playing ever since. I’ve been using a 6-string Aria Mac-50 since I’ve started but I plan on purchasing a 7-string Ibanez since the tuning I’m using on my guitar is meant for something along the lines of an 8-string guitar, so it feels like I’m playing jello strings, it makes it harder to play but it just sounds so damn awesome at that tuning.

I listen to lots of different genres of music; Classical, Jazz, Metal, Electronic, etc. But I listen to Metal the most, which is also what I play on my guitar.

Some of my favorite bands:

Meshuggah Example:
Rammstein Example:
SOAD Example:
Kraftwerk Example:
HIM Example:

Competitive Slalom Kayaking:

Some of you may know this already, but I do a lot of competitive slalom kayaking. I’ve been doing it for about 3 and ½ years now and I really enjoy it. I’ve raced all over the U.S. and some of Canada. I competed in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials this year and I will be competing in May for a spot on the U.S. Junior Team. If I make it I will compete in the Junior Worlds against other Junior paddlers from all over the world. It’s my last year that I qualify to make the Junior Team so I’ve been hard at work training for it.

I've compiled a short video of my Olympic Trials training this year, so you can see a a bit of what I do. It's not the best quality so I recommend not full-screening it:
2012 Olympic Trials Training - YouTube
At around the 2:15 mark another paddler peeled out as I was going down bridge-drop so I had to turn my boat to avoid impaling him. The last 2 video clips are from the actual race. Unfortunately I only get to go down to USNWC a few times a year, my home course is pretty much a trickle.

Artwork:

I’ve recently begun making signatures using Photoshop CS3. I was inspired by many of the very talented artists on PS3T, such as: RED_REBEL44, TheFlyingToaster, efunk25, and many other great members. I try to make my sigs look fresh and original and I like to push the envelope when creating designs. If you’re interested in seeing my work then feel free to check out my gallery: My Gallery

That about wraps it up, I may not be The Most Interesting Man in the World but I hope you still had an enjoyable read.

Woha, nice and big introduction mate. Well, officially too, welcome.

I like only one song from Rammstein. You know what is it...

Nice introduction! It's good to see my idea of an introduction catching on. Hopefully more older PS3T members follow suit
