My goodness. Apart from the Combat mission thing, really what is the difference between moh and modern warfare series? I shall list what they have in common.
1. Small maps (tiny) 2. Campers - and lucrative awards for killstreaks, which further enable cheap kills, and dirt ridden cheapo points. 3. Non-destructible environment 4. Radar sweeps pretty much going on a lot of the time, so no element of surprise for players. 5. Apart from a shoddy rust bucket tank in Combat mission, no vehicles... 6. No choice of spawn points. On the plus, the campaign was good, but certainly not very good, nothing new about it at all, and all too easy to complete. And short. Back to the horrible things. Why or why are the guns not accurate? To actually gain accessories as you rank up to make your same weapon more accurate, surely if you point the sights at someone and fire, you'd expect within reason of them moving a little to hit and kill them, even at a good distance. Auto aim should be banned. Its a shooter, so aim properly and shoot, not quick-auto find target for you nonsense. Plus I'm sure there is sometimes (but not always) a lag issue, you'll be blasting away at someone and yet somehow they don't die, as they've moved further off your sights to the left or right, though you were doing the same, when clearly if you repeated that exact same action another time, you would make the kill easily. Snipers - small maps with few places to go, and as there is no spotting as in bc2, or destructable environment, an encamped sniper with even a basic weapon can sit with his chummies and pot away forever. Or for a short while anyway because the other team know where these few spots are and just shoot each other. As the maps are so small, and nothing blows up, no vehicles etc, if you are going from your spawn point to flag/objective, the options of the routes you can take are so very limited. Average 2 routes to go where you need to go, and did I mention snipers? Yes guess what you've gotta run out in the open and bang bang your dead. Even if you used the smoke grenade or the snipers just missed you, you'll find at least one if not two, no wait. Maybe most of the other team all waiting in corners and any hidey hole they can find, sights aimed at the corner you are about to come around. There is times I would agree to hide somewhere if you saw some players coming towards you and you are going to ambush them, but to actually just sit all the time in one position waiting to rape players clearly can't be fun. Well I guess it might be if you played mw2 multiplayer trash. If a game actually rewards people for this type of behaviour, and gifts them uber range of missile strikes etc, plus big points, then the game play becomes just stale, unenjoyable, uninteresting and overall just plain ****. Dice were either very stupid in putting their name on this game, or very clever in that they made it so bad that it makes the Battlefield series so much better, so much much better than any other online shooter. Sabotage your opponents by making your competitors game rubbish, makes sense.. Before people may suggest I'm a bad player, well I'm not and I'm not gonna justify myself to anyone. I know my skills are good if not perhaps very good (depending on the game of course), and I know how to aim and shoot and play shooters properly etc. I know its not me, its the game! Maybe if they sort out the accuracy and probable lag issues (yes my internet connection is perfect with every other game) the game may improve, but compared with Bad Company 2, with its big maps, big variety of tactics, and just so many options how to play the match over and over, and to actually enjoy playing it, moh is not even on the same planet! Lets just hope that Black Ops has taken the book from Bad Company, also with all their variety of game modes which BC2 doesn't have, and with Treyarch making it, perhaps finally this time round the COD series can have a multiplayer game to be proud of, not spat upon.. |
