That's how I played it, did not care about any trophies. I eventually realized that I could actually platinum this game, and then on my 5th play thru went for insane mode, and suprised my self and got it. 6 hours more of clean up and 215 hours later I got the platinum. My first.

I got lots and lots of help from others here. Lord Maim's insane guide was a lot of help.

I played first on casual , and I was calling my self, "I must be a casual player"

There is actually a long thread here with that title.

Yeah, it's my first playthrough, but I haven't researched much about the characters or the story. I haven't even looked at the trophies that say "story related" on the guide. I'm playing through on normal mode first to enjoy the story and get immersed into the me2 world, then going back through on insanity mode after I finish to get the plat. I don't see the harm in going for some trophies the first time through though.

Once you start your Insane run check out the Lord Maim guide (it is a sticky)

I guess the one thing that always confused me was whether some characters specifically required Paragon or Renegade in order to achieve their trophies but I guess you can just stick with one for everyone out there and all will be well as long as your consistent.

I'm trying to get mostly Paragon status. I accidentally made a few Renegade decisions when I first started the game.

I went paragon and just finished my first playthrough. It took me 62 hours, but I also completed almost every mission and mined almost every single planet until it was depleted. I still have close to a million of each mineral other than eezo haha. The only trophies I have left now are insanity, warp, incinerate, and zaeed's loyalty. Time to get started =p

You should check the guide. It has the exact amount of minerals you'd need to buy everything. Sorry to say, you wasted your time doing all that mining.

Some of us want to do "everything". In a weird way the mining is actually a bit addictive.

You mean that you get "100 war assets" to ME3 if you've loads of minerals? Good to know. I'm pretty much mining every planet.
