Can you deactivate notifications?

I mean the huge box which pops up in the top right whenever you are about to beat a highscore. It's so damn annoying and I can't find anything in the options to turn it off.

So, am I blind or is it impossible?

I find it distracting as well, but I don't think you can turn it off. I would if I could.

Yes, you can!

On the main menu or on the pause menu of any table do the following.

Help & Options > Screen Layout >> Turn off notifications
