I went for it because of the PS+ free DLC and while it's not amazing, I don't regret the purchase either. Because it's pretty simple and slow-paced, Magic Orbz is good for those times when I don't want an intense game like Super Stardust HD.
My biggest gripe with the purchase would probably be that the DLC adds virtually nothing to the core game; no new elements or modes, just additional levels/scenery. So if you end up finding the main game too simplistic or slow-paced, the DLC's not going to help with that at all. What the free DLC does bring is trophies, with the majority of them being Silvers. If anything it's the trophies that drive the DLC for me, since some of the objectives are really tough to fulfill and add to the replayability factor. I'd say go for it

I'd say got for it. It's a pretty relaxing game that's fun to play through. Pretty easy for the most part, aside from the last couple levels in every world. Great price for quite a lot of content and trophies. I don't regret it either.

I love Breakout and clone games, but I found this one to be awkward to play. I like that in breakout you must be tactile in how you hit the ball to maneuver it to hit the blocks you want, but in this game I felt like I had little to no control over the direction the ball would go when I hit it.
The difficulty scaling could have done with some tweaking as all the levels are super easy until the final 2/3 levels of an episode and also the controls could have done with some extra work. I did like the 3D-take on the old classic and the way the scene broke up as you hit and destroyed parts. It was free on PSN+ is the only reason I got it and I won't be buying the DLC as, for what it is, it wouldn't seem worth it and I have played better clones for cheaper price. |
