Last archenemy boss

I'm haveing lots of trouble with the last boss, Nicoli. I try the method mentioned in the walkthrough and its not working. I'v even seen youtube videos. WTF? I know its doabe because people have earned the trophy. Can I try it online with 3 online players? Will that count? Should I raise the difficulty so that the ai are smarter?Any suggestions would help.

Three elf decks worked there for me as well. I guess I won on second try. Just overwhelm with small critters and their synergy boosts.

3x Jace works as well if you get the right cards.

I used dragon deck and AI allies were Sorin and Garuk, was lucky with him drawing useless schemes in first 3 turns

I used the blue/green deck 3x and it finally worked.

This must be the most annoying boss I have ever encountered in any game. Talk about dirty fighting, this cheap skate can't even attack properly on his own. Instead, he relay entirely on the schemes. Basicaly, all he do is remove your cards from the battlefield and sometimes attack with a spell or two. Just minutes ago, I lost for the XX time this hour, with me and another one of my team mates having 10 land cards on the table, and the final companion 14. At the same time, only one of us even had ONE single creature to attack with. Standard procedure when you meet this poor excuse of a boss.

Now I'll have to go with the "elf method" I guess. Lame, really.

I genuinely hate this boss every single time I have some fortune he either steals my cards or gets some god damn annoying health boost.

Edit - Was eventually forced to use that elf method which finally did it quickly.

i kill it first time with sarkan's deck,chandra's deck and koth deck,he went down fast!!!!
