Great game if you don't expect a GTA-like. I especially like the unforgiving end, in the vein of the first one. Don't understand why so much people dislike it or dismiss it as a "dlc hole" (wich was proven untrue). It's not short, it's "brutal", as the credits roll a second after you've figured out what was happening. And it doesn't need to be expended.
So great story, lovable characters, immersive universe, makes this a fun TPS. Not for the full price though. But there's one thing i can't forgive as the sadistic gamer i am : no impact wounds. There's nothing i hate more than unloading a clip unto a dude's face and not seeing it full of holes. It's a game about the mafia, or can it not have bullet holes ? This and pain-in-the ass trophies. The poster quest is the most boring one of the genre i've ever done, and there's one poster only attainable after a hard stunt. It was a downer after the playboy quest, probably the most rewarding collect quest EVER. |

I enjoyed this game quite a bit. Loved the story and characters, gameplay wasnt bad, and the music was good too. I have every trophy with the exception of the wanted posters.. I'll probably go back to complete that once Ive caught up with my backlog.

Picked this and LA Noire up for $22 together, not a bad deal. Came with some DLC but the codes didn't work. Just completed the game and I must say it was fun especially near the end. Now I just have a few trophies and I'll have platinum.
As for the DLC - is EVERYTHING you can buy off the store all in the $20 bundle?

I thought the game was alright. I thought it would be longer, I beat it on hard 1st time in 12hrs. and it wasn't just a trophy burn through. I wish it had a little more of an open feel to it, and I would like some game to explore more of a moving up the ladder style story line and not having to start off as a nobody like in The Godfather. I think it would be cool to start the game as an enforcer or soldier, already "made", and work your way up, doing favors and other side missions for people during the main story.
Otherwise I am still having fun with it, Drunk Joe is the BEST! |

When it came to the DLC the gameplay flaws really showed because there was no story to cover it up. It didn't hold me whatsoever. That, and I hated the arcade style of the DLC. Just served to take you even further out of the experience.

It's decent, nothing amazing though. It quite possible has the worst combat system i've seen in a game though.
Definitely worth staying a rental.

Going to take back my last comment, i never usually judge a game at the start and i'm going to say I made a mistake
![]() Once you learn the counter attack, the combat really improves and the story becomes really enjoyable and fun. I also love the 50s sound track! huge fan of the rock n roll era.
