Help with last mission

I need some sort of tips with the combat, on the last mission, i cant beat these guys, i know i have to face them 3 times, but i cant even beat them the first time....if it wasnt timed it wouldnt be a problem....can anyone help?

square button while holding the R 2 down as well. Now you don't let you finger of of the R 2 button ever! As the cop comes to hit you your blocked but, now you release the square button and tap it and the counter punch lands all the time. repeat the process .What this does is makes it a hell of a lot easier than to try to hold down a than hit a and then x. 9 out of 10 times you wind up hitting both buttons at the same time and then the round house kick comes and only knocks them down with out hurting them. My method works flawlessly. You can now focus on one button because the other button is already held down. you'll get counters 99.9% of the time . Even I mess it up sometimes . If all is done correctly from the time that your on top of the building for your first boss fight it should be over with a minute and 30 seconds left on the clock 9 give or take a few). that gives you more than enough time to get that crate of fire works over and alligned. Oh, for some reason, you knock both cops down with the round house kick, simply use the r2 button and 75 % of the time you will hick them in the head , thus doing more damage! Hope this helps.

if all that was too confusing just hold down the block button until they punch you. larry will "counter" with a smack that will knock the guard back a little bit. take two steps towards the guard to close the gap and hit the attack button.

same strategy just worded a bit differently.
