How Is This Game?

I am a big fan of the music games
and am interested in getting this
also how is the platinum time not being a problem

The actual gameplay is exactly the same as in RB2, with the exception that there's a new even easier difficulty and you can't fail.

The "plot", the career progression, customizing the characters etc. is completely new and really fun. If you've played other Lego games, the flavor is the same. Some might call it childish, I call it fun! A matter of taste.

The platinum is really hard because of one trophy, getting 100% on The Final Countdown's solo on expert. Check out the song on YouTube and you'll see how hard it is. If you can pull that off, the plat is practically yours. Every other trophy is ridiculously easy to get (but you will need a couple of friends to get two of them).

Its okay... this game gets really boring really fast. Every now and again you get a fun and funny little Lego cutscene.

Other than the difficult trophy of 100% the solo on Final Countdown - the Play Every Gig trophy takes FOR-E-VER. I've played for a lot of hours and still have a ton of gigs left. Im at around 1055 stars and have read that somewhere around 1650+ stars you being to unlock the last gigs...

The other trophy that could be a pain in the ass if you dont have local friends (because there is NO ONLINE) is the trophy for all band members scoring 100% notes hit. I read you can do it by yourself on Super Easy, strumming two guitars with one hand, turning on the cheat for auto bass kick and the toms with the other hand, and leaving the mic against a speaker or fan. Sounds convoluted and like a lot of trouble, but if you don't have a local friend... its worth a try...

It does sound like a pain... most of my local friends have no interest in Music games.

I will have to con the wife into strumming mindlessly

It is a fun game and I agree that it gets boring after awhile. I cannot get platinum because of the two trophies that require 4 people. No local friends that play music games. But whatever.

Hi, newish to the site, so first post on here. I have been watching the site for some time now, for some help on some PS3 trophies.
I brought this game a week or two ago, and I like it. I think the trophies are all relatively easy, and cant really be missed, with the exception of "The Final Countdown, which i'm sure you know all too well.
The songs are quite good as well, some classic rock songs in there, and some newer ones as well, so there is a nice little mix there with the songs.
