Ok im on the third film, ive been running around looking for jimmy leggs to buy in thehub and i cant find him anywere, does it have to be day time or night?

I found that if you kill the ones walking around new one will show up. I got them all in the day so I don't think that it matters.

"Creatures" show up most likely on the bridge. From my experience at least.

You can also go to the pause menu > Extras > Enter code and put in 13GLW5.
I can confirm that you can unlock the trophy by getting Jimmy Legs with this method, then whipping Will Turner in the hub (I did it that way)

Going in and out of a room or screen will also change the chars there.

this helped me a lot i was missing jimmy legs for this trophy too so i spent about 5-10 mins killing the guys at Port and new ones showed up, its really lame this is the only thing i hate about this game cus in the other lego games theirs a shop to buy charecters from they dont wander around freely like this..

I got all characters now took ages to wait for blackbeard. 70% on the trophies, just need to get all gold bricks, mini kits, then sail the mini kits then got me 23rd platinum ive enjoyed this game alot also.

actually, Indy 2, and Star Wars 3 both also use the roaming character method of unlocking as well, but i agree its a pain.

If you're looking for a specific character just go from area to area repeatedly like the other guys said and search as fast as possible and you'll have him/her in no time
