Introduction:

LEGO Legends of Chima is the fourth LEGO game released on the VITA system. The graphics are improved from some of the previous VITA games, but the game mechanics are essentially unchanged. If you have played any of the previous LEGO games, you should be able to pick up and play this without any troubles.

The world format is very similar to LEGO Lord of the Rings, where you move between cities, or hubs, within a larger world map. Main levels branch off from the cities. You can enter the world map at any time to quickly jump to any previously opened cities or levels. Collectibles are tracked within each level, and progress can be seen at any time by pressing the Start button.

As with the previous LEGO games, this is not an overly long or difficult platinum. The trophies are mostly story based, with collectable and task specific trophies as well, and most of the trophy descriptions quite clearly lay out their requirements. You do not need 100% completion in the game in order to achieve the platinum, and in particular you don't need to collect all the character tiles. The biggest grind will be unlocking all the red bricks.

**General Tips**

The main character from each tribe will be unlocked and added to your party as you play. Press :vital: or :vitar: or :triangle: to bring up the character bar on the bottom of the screen, and to scroll through available characters. You can also use the touch screen to quickly change characters once the bar is visible.

If you want to swap the active character within a tribe, you will note a sword at the end of the character bar, on the bottom of the screen. Tap it to bring up the full menu, and swap out characters.

Additional characters found throughout the level are available to purchase in the Lion Temple, but are not added to your party until they are purchased. Most are redundant, but you will need a Bear, a Raven and either Furtivo or Skinnet from the Nomad tribe.

I would strongly suggest collecting the Treasure item Leonidas' Sword, located in the first level, Spiral Mountain. This can be traded in to Leonidas at the gate into Lion Temple, to unlock the 4x Stud Multiplier Red Brick. This costs 300,000 studs, so you should be able to purchase it fairly early in the game. This will make stud collecting go much quicker, and allow you to unlock useful Characters and Red Bricks more easily.

You will progress through the 10 story levels in order. The game is broken down into 5 hubs, with 2 story levels branching off from each hub. Once you have been in a hub/level, you can return at any time by tapping the world icon on the main game screen, then touching the dot on the screen corresponding to the level/hub you wish to travel to.

Collectables are saved immediately upon collection. You do not need to finish the level, or even the section of the level you are working on. This will reduce clean up time, as once you have all the items on a level, you can jump to another area at any time.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete the game

I would suggest playing through the game from start to finish, completing all the levels. This will unlock all the story related trophies, and perhaps some miscellaneous trophies along the way.

Do not go out of your way to collect treasures, as many of them will be 'locked' - while they may be in plain sight, you will need a specific character action to access the location. The only exception to this would be the first treasure on Spiral Mountain. Delivering this will unlock the 4x Stud Multiplier Red Brick for 300,000 studs. Getting this early and activating it will greatly speed up stud collection, and make it easy for you to buy characters necessary to access the locked areas.

Pay attention also during the Sanctuary Forest level, as you can collect Character tokens for both a bear and raven. This is the earliest opportunity to unlock those tribes, which you will need to purchase in order to reach all the collectables. All the other tribes will have a character unlocked automatically during game progression.

Step 2: Replay all levels to collect all treasures

The main goal here will be to replay all the levels to collect the hidden treasures, and return them to unlock the red bricks. During this step, you will need one character from each CHI tribe. These should all be unlocked during the story mode, except for a Bear and Raven character. You will likely have picked up at least one of these tiles during the first playthrough, so make sure to purchase that character from CHI day market in the Lion Temple, so that they are added to your party.

You will also need either Furtivo the fox, or Skinnet the skunk from the Nomad tribe in order to access the small crawl spaces.

During this playthrough, make note of the level specific trophies, and try to do those objectives as you go, in order to reduce further replays of each level.

Congratulations on another platinum.

CHI up a character from each tribe

There are a total of 9 tribes in the game. In order to unlock this, you will need to CHI up one character from each tribe.

A main character from each tribe will unlock naturally through story progression, with the exception of a Bear, Raven, and Nomad. A character tile from each of these tribes must be found in a level, then purchased in the CHI day market, located in the Lion Temple.

  • Lion - Laval recommended, default character
  • Eagle - Eris recommended, added to your party automatically at the end of Eagle Town
  • Gorilla - Gorzan recommended, added to your party automatically at the end of Sanctuary Forest
  • Wolf - Worriz recommended, added to your party automatically during the story line events following Gorilla Village
  • Rhino - Rogon recommended, added to your party automatically at the end of Rhino Canyon
  • Crocodile - Cragger recommended, added to your party automatically at the end of Croc Swamp
  • Bear - Bungey Recommended, can be found at the end of Sanctuary Forest, if you free the bear hanging upside down (hard to miss). Costs 200,000 to purchase in the CHI day market
  • Raven - Razcal recommended, his Character Token is collected when you cross the log with the swinging traps in Sanctuary Forest, cannot be missed. Costs 200,000 to purchase in the CHI day market
  • Nomad - You will need Dom and either Furtivo or Skinnet, see Nomad's Land (B) for details

You can CHI up a character using either a CHI pool, or by filling the blue CHI icon in the bottom right of the screen, then tapping it.

You will not be able to unlock this until near the end of your first playthrough. Once you have a character from all 9 tribes, go to a CHI pool and cycle through each character, powering him/her up. Once the last character is powered up, the trophy will unlock.

Destroy all the traps in Wolf Camp with the rock on mechanics

Wolf camp is the last story level. This is a long level with a number of sections.

You will come across a total of 7 spinning traps, 3 spike traps and 2 swinging blades. Destroy them all using a Rhino character's 'Rock On'. Press :cross: the :square: to create a giant rock, which will block, then break the trap.

There are no traps in the first section (where you are chased by the car).

There is one spike trap in the second section **this one is very easy to miss**

http://i.imgur.com/Zk0cHfj.jpg

There are 2 spinning traps in the third section, side by side.

http://i.imgur.com/8llgzPS.jpg

There are 2 spinning traps in the fourth section, also side by side.

http://i.imgur.com/tbbYo3M.jpg

There are 2 spike traps followed by 2 spinning traps and 2 swinging blades in the fifth section.

http://i.imgur.com/8YyZ8Q0.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/vQGen31.jpg

http://i.imgur.com/UEtSsxV.jpg

Finally there is a single spinning trap in the sixth section.

http://i.imgur.com/N08QccK.jpg

If you have destroyed them all, the trophy will pop as soon as the last trap breaks. Note that this trophy is not cumulative - you must destroy all traps in one playthrough of the level, from the starting section until the last trap.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2109/1B6.jpgLeaps and Boundshttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Perform five CHI jumps in a row as Laval

Possibly the easiest gold trophy ever. Although the game doesn't tell you what a CHI jump is, it simply requires you to press :circle: while you character is CHI-ed up. Go to a CHI pool as Laval, or tap the CHI icon when it is full, CHI up, then hold down :circle:. After the 5th jump, the trophy pops.

All 5 jumps have to be done during one CHI up, and you do not have to release :circle: between jumps.

Yes, it really is that easy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2109/6E6.jpgEagle Visionhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Pick up 20,000 studs as Eris

Another contender for easiest gold ever, this one simply requires you to collect 20,000 studs as Eris. This is the eagle character unlocked at the end of Eagle Town. 20,000 will not take very long, and is cumulative. If you have the 4x stud multiplier, this will come very quickly.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2109/BDA.jpgSwoon Songhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Cause 3 Wolves to swoon as Dom De La Woosh

Dom De La Woosh is a peacock from the Nomad tribe. Once you unlock his character tile, purchase him from the Extras store in the Lion Temple. Pressing :circle: triggers Dom to do a special move which casts a spell on enemies, momentarily stunning them.

You now need to find a level where at least 3 wolves attack you at the same time. You should be easily able to get 3 wolves on screen at a time in Wolf Camp, then press :circle: to make them all swoon, and the trophy will pop. I believe you need all 3 wolves to swoon at the same time.

Note - kill one of the swooning wolves to unlock (B) Stunner at the same time.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2109/48C.jpgUnleash the Powerhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

CHI Up twice in one level without using a CHI Pool

You can CHI up by collecting enough orbs to fill the CHI meter in the bottom right of your screen, then tap the CHI meter to trigger the power up.

This trophy can easily be earned in the first level boss fight against Cragger, as many blue orbs are released and you need to CHI up to defeat him. The trophy will pop as soon as you touch the CHI meter the second time it fills.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2109/FF9.jpgCrocodile Tearshttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Use the CHI absorb during the Cragger boss fight at the end of Spiral Mountain

CHI absorb is activated by pressing and holding :vital: and :vitar: at the same time. Do this during the boss fight against Cragger to absorb any blue CHI orb, and the trophy will unlock.

The game does not teach you how to CHI absorb until after the first time you clear Spiral Mountain, but I believe you can only do this on your first playthrough if you perform the absorb action listed above.

CHI Up and win a sword clash against a CHI-ed up enemy

Periodically throughout the game an enemy will CHI up. They become stronger, and you see a red animal glowing around them. If you CHI up as well, and start to fight them, a :circle: icon will appear over their head. Press :circle: to enter a mini-game, where you have to rapidly press :square: to fill the meter that appears. If you fill the meter you will instantly kill the enemy, and winning such a battle will unlock the trophy.

While there are many opportunities to do this, it can be obtained in the first battle against Cragger when he CHI's up.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2109/049.jpgFerocious Foxhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Defeat 5 enemies as Furtivo the Fox

Once you have located and purchased Furtivo, simply use him in battle. After defeating 5 enemies, the trophy will unlock. This is cumulative, and doesn't have to be done in any level.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2109/0CA.jpgPack Leaderhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Defeat 10 Wolves in Eagle Town using Worriz

Worriz does not unlock until after you have first completed Eagle town. You can return at any point later in the game to replay the level, and simply use Worriz to kill attacking wolves until the trophy pops.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2109/FA0.jpgRhino Chargerhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Knock down 3 enemies in a row with a Rhino Charge

Using any Rhino character you can trigger a charge by pressing :square:. Pick a fight with at least 3 attacking enemies, and try to get them bunched up, or chasing after you, then trigger your charge. There are a number of locations to do this, but you must hit 3 enemies during a single charge. If you hit all 3, the trophy will unlock.

Complete six waves in the Eagle Grasslands or Gorilla Region shooting gallery

These mini-games can be accessed at any time once you have opened the side levels. You have to clear 6 waves by scoring 20-30 points in each wave. You gain 1 point for each orange target, lose 2 for shooting a red, and gain time for shooting a green.

Eagle Turret

  • Once you enter the Grasslands proceed to the back left corner, where the waterfall is. Go across the ledge, and do the hand jumps up. Use Laval to do the wall jumps to a higher ledge, and the exit to Eagle Town. Do not use this portal, but instead glide off the platform towards the right using Eris. You should land on another ledge, with a fan lift
  • Riding the fan wind will take you to a higher section of Grasslands. Work your way up the wall hand jumps to the platform, and proceed left. You should see a Red Brick Character Quest, and a nearby lever which lowers a lift
  • Just to the right of the lift is a breakable Rhino wall. Inside is a rope leading to an even higher section, where the turret is located

http://i.imgur.com/Y3g5WnC.jpg

Gorilla Turret

  • The centre of Gorilla Village is a large tree trunk. From the entry point, make your way around to the back side of the trunk, and you will find a section of wall jumps for Laval.
  • Continue to work your way around and up the trunk to reach higher sections, until you come across a door for Furtivo/Skinnet.
  • Entering this will take you to an upper section of the Village, and again you will find one of the Red Brick Character Quests here. Just to the left of him is the turret below.

http://i.imgur.com/NhPZQgA.jpg

You can complete either shooting gallery fairly easily, but Eagle Grasslands is probably a bit easier.

Compete the laser puzzle in Eagle Library as Furtivo

At the beginning of the second part of Eagle Library there is a deflecting laser light puzzle. A photo of the solution is below. You will need to switch to Furtivo, and rotate each statue into the position shown.

http://i.imgur.com/mnnlb7J.jpg

As Furtivo is not available until after the first time you complete Eagle Library, this will have to be done on a replay of the level.

Use Rogon's rock on ability to destroy the spinning blades in Gorilla Village

There are 3 spinning blades in Gorilla Village. Use Rogon to break them using :cross: then :square: to create an unbreakable rock that will block, then break the spinning blade structure.

http://i.imgur.com/z1tleXr.jpg

The trophy unlocks when the third blade is broken.

See (G) Swoon Song. After stunning the enemies, simply kill one and the trophy will unlock.

Unlock all the Nomad characters

There are 3 Nomad characters located in the game. The trophy unlocks after you find all 3.

Skinnet the Skunk

  • Cost: 700,000
  • Token Location: Spiral Mountain
  • While this token is found in the first level, you won't be able to collect it until near the end of the game. You will need to have a crocodile character. When you reach the gates, go into the pool of water located towards the right of the gate

http://i.imgur.com/K2VJutr.jpg

  • Swim to the bottom of the pool, and look for a cave to enter.

Furtivo the Fox

  • Cost: 600,000
  • Token Location: Croc Swamp
  • When you reach the 3 Croc Head traps

  • Use Rogon's Rock On ability (:cross: + :square:) to destroy them.
  • The token will be revealed.

http://i.imgur.com/PVmqKf9.jpg

Dom de la Woosh

  • Cost: 600,000
  • Token Location: Spiral Mountain
  • Similar to Skinnet, you will not be able to collect this token until later in the game. You must have Furtivo in your party in order to reach it's location.
  • When you reach the section just before the end, where the crocs are playing a board game on an upper level.

http://i.imgur.com/SrFExh0.jpg

  • Look for the green tree on the right, and destroy it, which will reveal a crawl space for Furtivo.

http://i.imgur.com/KtLoGWV.jpg

  • Go through it, taking you to an upper ledge.

http://i.imgur.com/ae8oy0m.jpg

  • Use the wolf scent trail to locate and dig up the token.

Unlock all red bricks

This is the hardest trophy in the game. You will need to unlock all 12 red bricks. Red Bricks are given to you by characters for completing quests for them. This will entail you locating and returning treasures scattered about the game's levels. Most levels contain 2 treasures, and you can check your progress in each level by pressing Start.

Most of the treasures are not hidden, but will require specific characters in order to access them. You will need to complete all levels at least twice, as most of the necessary characters won't be unlocked until later in the game.

I would suggest not even trying for this until you have at least character from each of the 8 tribes, and either Furtivo or Skinnet.

Also note, you will only need to unlock the red bricks, you do not have to purchase them.

Please see the Collectibles Thread for a full walkthrough.

Make a Lion Tribe custom character

Once you reach the Lion temple, go to the Character Customizer in the Lion Temple. Choose a lion, and change any part. You just have to swap one part, then save the character and the trophy pops. You can do this at any time, but will need at least one other character unlocked to have a part to swap.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2109/D26.jpgHide and Seekhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Complete the hide and seek game in Forever Rock

Forever Rock is a side level that can be accessed through Eagle Grasslands. You will need a Rhino to break down the wall blocking it's access. The wall is on the far right of Grasslands, relative to your entry point.

You activate the game by walking up to the rock with lion and crocodile pictures.

You start as Laval, and need to find your other 8 friend. There is a specific order you will need to follow, and each friend you unlock will need to use their power to locate the next one;

  • Starting as Laval, walk straight ahead to find Rogon standing beside a rock.

  • Use Rogon to break a nearby brown rock with :square: to reveal hand jumps. Follow the hand jumps to reach a ledge with Eris.

  • Go back to the starting area to see a large tree trunk. There is a jet lift in the middle. Use Eris to ride the jet up to reach Gorzan.

  • Drop down and use Gorzan to punch the button in front of you, knocking Bladvic out of the tree.

  • Use Bladvic to fish out Cragger near where Rogan was hiding.

  • Go back to face the starting rock, and jump into the water to your right with Cragger. Swim to the rock tower with the floating studs and do and underwater :circle: jump up to reach the top of the rock, and find Skinnet

  • Make your way out of the water and back towards the tree where you used Eris. Move to the left with Skinnet and you will be prompted to double jump on a small ledge. Use :circle: to stink bomb Worriz off the high cliff

Once you have all 9 characters, the trophy is yours.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/2109/AA4.jpgBusy Beaverhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Complete the Beaver Village puzzle

Beaver Village is a side level accessible from Croc Territory. It is straight ahead across some logs relative to where you enter Croc Territory.

In this side level, you need to position three wooden water spouts to complete the flow.

  • To the upper left as you enter. Use Gorzan to punch the button dropping the lever. Winch up the treasure chest, open it to build a crank. This lowers section 1.

  • To the right of the entry point. Lion roar to break wall, then wall jump up. Push off the movable box to raise chest. Build then open the chi pull door and turn crank to position section 2.

  • To the far right. Rope walk over to digging spot. Unearth parts to build crank and raise platform. Jump across and proceed over the step jumps to the left. Pick up handle and backtrack to rope walk. Place crank in position and turn it to raise final section.

Water flow is now complete and the trophy will pop.

Don't touch any controls for 45 seconds while in the Bear cave

Bear Cave is a side level accessed from Gorilla Region. Once you enter simply leave the VITA without touching anything until the trophy pops.

Yes, the game actually gives you a trophy for doing nothing.

Ok, guide is essentially done. I have to expand on a couple of descriptions, and I have few photos to upload, but I think the foundation is complete.

I realize the Red Brick portion will need a full walkthrough. I am cleaning up my first playthrough, and then need to do a full second playthrough in order to do a full text guide.

I will post that as a supplemental guide, and hope to have at least a first draft up this weekend.

I am open to any feedback, tips, edits or suggestions.

I believe the guide is now complete. I have uploaded photos for a number of sections, as I think that will help with the text descriptions.

Unless there are any suggestions, I will submit this to the forum.

I got the Plat myself today, so I can start a second playthrough to get the exact locations of the first few treasures.

I have photos of most of the treasure locations, and a text guide done. I will post that separately.

The only other edit I will have is to add photos and text descriptions for the 3 nomad characters.

Enjoy the guide, I hope it helps.

Nice Guide.

The trap guides were especially helpful.

Another suggestion for 'Chi Club'. When you complete the story mode, you unlock unlimited Chi in the extras section. If you then play 'Forever Rock' and the hide & seek game. You can gain access to all the character types without paying for them (saving money for the multipliers), just cycle through them and let the chi refill then do the next one till the trophy goes.

Not much of a time saver but may help someone :)

I don't have a Vita so won't be playing this, but I love the LEGO games and have just heard about this game.

Just wanted to drop by and say this is a very well-written and informative guide, great job and keep it up! :applause:

Thank you very much. I have used a number of your guides over the years, so that is high praise indeed!
