Me and my boyfriend bought a vita each, specifically because of the 1 psn account per vita and, as anyone would expect, we share the games we buy.
However, with lego harry potter I got the following message after my boyfriend started a game "You cannot earn trophies in this application. Only the first player to use an application can earn trophies" followed by a little bit that said the only way to earn trophies is to delete all associated data. Now for a game with 3 save slots this seems ridiculous. Does anyone know if there is any other workaround short of doing as it says and waiting until my boyfriend has 100% it and deleting all his data... |

You have to format the card to earn trophies on another vita, this has to be done if you buy used games or borrow one. I googled this and found the following on verge.
Fortunately, this is simple to circumvent — all you need to do is format the pre-owned card. Pocket Gamer has outlined the steps to erasing the data, which basically consist of touching and holding the screen as you would if you wanted to rearrange the icons, then hitting the "…" bubble at the top right of the game's icon and selecting "Delete." The previous player will keep his or her trophies, but the card will be as good as new, with no saved games or associated PSN accounts. Presumably, this could also be done before selling a game if you want to keep those Uncharted saves all to yourself |

Yeah, unfortunately that was a problem for me too. But I broke up with my boyfriend, and likely won't ever have to worry about getting him one.
It's a shame though that you can't just have separate save files that prohibit loading on a Vita besides the one it was started on. It'd work much better for games like this that are something to share. |
