Hey there - i'm just wondering if there's any place at the game, where the DLC is too late to play? And does it turn out best, if you have access to/bought it from the start of playing the game? Share your thoughts with me! (Yuri)

I would play it at the end of the main story tbh, there won't be any spoilers but you'll run into a few guys that you met in the main story.
You'll also get a chance to team up with the other detectives that you worked with throughout the main game which is a good laugh

I had naked city case for pre-order goodie, and it came in between the original story cases. You dont even notice it but they make the sory longer. I think all dlc cases work like that. If you install them and play through the missions, the dlc will split among the right decks.
If you want the order, join Rockstar social club and see the cases from that list

Ok. So is it possible to define a point in the game/story progress (don't know how it works), where the DLC cases start becoming available?
If so, I could play the base game up to that point, and re-evaluate if i'd want the DLC

Yeah, you cant play too much though. The first DLC mission, called "The consul's car" comes after the first traffic case called "The driver's seat".
When you are at that one, you can decide to buy or not, or play further and later replay the dlc cases from chapter select, but that's not as solid as a story when you go "back in time" to your earlier partners. The first case and The Drivers seat should give you a good image of what to expect from the game anyway.

If we took "Consul's car" out of the equation, what would the first DLC case then be?

After Slip, there comes eight cases before next DLC ones, so if you want to pass that one too, there are more than enough cases before next one in Vice desk.
