I found Arson and Homicide to be a little disturbing. Praying mantis for the loss.

Yeah, it is a little. Wonder if they ever had to analysis a naked dead guy. Now that would be really awkward!

What was the point of the scene after the credits? Just to show us who's idea it was to do the morphine gig? Also make Kelso more of a goody two shoes?
I think the game peaked with Homicide, then it went downhill. None of the cases were as engaging and the game became redundant after awhile. Lackluster ending too. |

Hmm, just finished this, and 'wow' is basically how I feel.
When you move up through the ranks early on with Cole, and then you hear about how his subordinates resented his command during the war, it was clear that he was trying to redeem himself through justice. Everything was great. They even had Roy Earle introduced as an obvious antagonist. But arriving at Ad Vice was when things got slightly off track. Plot-wise, I can understand why Cole needed to perform some unacceptable act. But the execution for Cole cheating with Elsa was...horrible. There were a few moments when we see him watching her perform. Big fuck. If there was some stress added from Cole, maybe by nightmares of the past or something else, but Cole's 'you don't understand what I'm going through' seemed like a really weak explanation and these magical photos somebody got of Cole and Elsa also made me wonder why the explanations were so weak. Cole cheating was probably the worst executed part of the game. Arson was a surprisingly decent part of the game, but I think considering Cole's rising success, it would have been better to see him demoted because Earle had gotten Cole to kill some innocent person or something along those lines, basically Cole could have been humbled as a character. Playing as Kelso was a nice touch, especially seeing how similar he and Cole are. It was really sad to see Cole go like he did, I think he deserved a chance at redemption that didn't involve him dying. It takes a real man to own up to what he has done and keep living. Kelso should have pulled him up and punched him. As for Earle in the ending scene, he was free because he never let himself become the primary source for corruption, letting Monroe and Fontaine take the fall while he played lackey. I think the game was amazing, and the ending was good, but I just didn't see the need to have Cole let himself die. He was too smart and had seen too much as a detective to just throw his life away like that. Kelso should have had more interaction to become a deuteragonist so late in the game, or at least some DLC (I know the issue with Team Bondi prevented more DLC, but still). I'm hoping Rockstar does another game like L.A. Noire, even perhaps a sequel. We need more games like this. |

I didn't really understand what was going on most the time, due to the fact I skipped cut scenes (regret that).
But I felt most the cases weren't great, homicide took forever and they were the worst cases for me. My favourite were vice.

game was pretty good
though its some what the same in every case but hey thats how it is finding clues and solving the case the ending was ok though all the crooked cops were still living and the flame thrower guy at the end was just plain sad from what he did in the war also i liked the whole 6th marine part and invading moroes house w/ members of the old 6th marines found it cool like the kill point series |
