SpadesOfDarkness
I have played the game before and I can already tell this is going to be a 10/10 difficulty game for me. Things like beating the Hades Cup isn't that difficult nor is finding all 99 dalmations and the trinity marks. But the hard part is beating all the optional bosses. The Phantom is no problem. But Kurt Zisa, the Ice Titan, and especially Sephiroth is going to kill me overtime. Let's not forget you have to fight that Organization XIII guy in Hollow Bastion. I haven't fought him so I can't say anything. but from what I've heard, he's very tough. Then there's the fact you also have to level up all the way to level 100 which is more time consuming than difficult, but it's still pretty difficult. And then there's all the synthesis items you have to make. Again, more time consuming, but still difficult. It's no question that this should all be done on the easiest difficulty. So no questions for me. 10/10. And to that I say, BRING IT ON!!! Edited March 21, 2013 by SpadesOfDarkness

Setsuna
5/10 for me, proud isn't so hard so long as you aren't playing recklessly, the 3 playthrough tasks (15 hour, no continues and no equipment change) are all easily done on beginner. The only hurdle is the grind to synthesize everything and the gummi missions Edited April 15, 2013 by Setsuna
Spawn9
I would vote 7 or 8 cause of the secret bosses trophies they are hard to beat but it not only that there also the gummi ships mission you have to beat all of the gummi ship mission to get blueprints and missions 3 for all worlds is difficult to complet there one that you can't collect any items take 0 damage and score 0 points that is hard..... So no questions for me. 10/10. And to that I say, BRING IT ON!!! Dude, its not 10/10. I mean, sure the bosses are hard, but Sephiroth is a pushover when you figure out his pattern. I would recommend once you beat him, to grind on him, since he gives 18,000 EXP, and it'll help you get to level 100. Also that guy in Hallow Bastion is Xemnas, he is pretty tough. I'd rate it a 6/10. At times the game is hard, since its an action RPG, and a little time consuming(Not as time consuming as Com is gonna be), but if you just 100% the game on one playthrough, and just speedrun through the other 2, you'll be fine really. Ill 100% most of the trophies on my Proud playthrough and get the remaining ones on my others(I.e. Never change equipment, Speedster, etc.)
Alistar
As someone who has already has the platinum trophy, I would rate this a 7. The only troubling trophy to obtain would be getting all of the blueprints. Some of the gummi ship missions can be a bit hard and may take a while to complete. Stars
I'd say 3/10 if you're familiar with the original, because that means it's likely you won't have to spend much time with the harder parts of the main quest and the optional bosses since you've already beaten them before. 4/10 if you've never played the game. It's mostly time consuming, 70-80 hours is a good estimate, could be shorter. Proud mode is definitely doable in your first playthrough if you're familiar with the original, although I'm not sure if I should recommend it to a newcomer since the main quest has its intimidating difficulty spikes. The combat in the game is mostly about keeping up with the high pace, if you think this won't be a problem and you're confident in your abilities, I'd say go ahead. There are also no missables and the main quest itself is not that long for RPG standards. So there's plenty of time to do a speedrun below 15 hours and combine that with no equipment changing and no continue fuction. The gummi ship missions can be a drag if you don't like them, but they shouldn't take too long. 6-8 hours should be enough. Other than that, you'll spend quite some time synthesizing and collecting all weapons, but that's fairly typical when it comes to trophies for RPGs and this mostly requires patience and knowing the most efficient ways to farm. Soft-resetting helped me a lot in this game (L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Select + Start while in-game) for making the rare heartless spawn, although your results may vary. I think this game has a weird RNG factor. RE: Chains of Memories is probably harder to get the platinum trophy for. By the way, this game was great fun. TeaSpoonz
I just got the Platinum this morning and I give this a 6/10. Gathering materials for synthesizing was time consuming, but fairly simple to do with the guides. The Gummi ship missions were the most difficult things imo. However if you play them on a lower difficulty mode, they are fine. The optional bosses are easy to defeat because you're going to have to grind to level 100 anyway. Cetra
8/10, like always starting with 5. I cannot consider rating it lower just because I know Kingdom Hearts since 2002 and also Final Mix since it came out because I need to rate a pretty general difficulty and that from the point of view when everything is new to you. You need to spend time and effort to try and learn and Kingdom Hearts Final Mix HD would be about an 8/10 (which means something like 6-7 for people who start a rating with "1" and not with "5"). No offense, but that doesn't make much sense. Using that system renders the whole numerical system somewhat inaccurate in my opinion.
Cetra
No offense, but that doesn't make much sense. Using that system renders the whole numerical system somewhat inaccurate in my opinion. You say "no offense" and yet this is your second post to someone whose way to rate should not interest you. In a thread which was not even visited to make your own rating but only to reply to other posts. Please don't post if you don't want people to take some reply to their personal way of rating offensively. Just because you think that it is not right. Everybody here knows already why I rate like that and since my ratings have an equal value to the rating of some people, meaning my 8 would be a 6-7 it makes perfectly sense. There are various aspects which are required for every game and so I would never rate a game with something like a 1 or 2 because it does not feel right. And the "it would be equal to this value of other people" shows that it makes sense and can be written in the same thread since how the values are related is shown by me and I am sure that you understand that. For any other posts, there is always the option to write me a PM. Edited April 18, 2013 by Cetra
Yohko
When I was playing I was hesitating between 6 and 7, I got the platinum yesterday and now I'm sure it's a 6. The proud mode is not that hard, well I used more than 100 continues but since it brings you back just before the place where you died, you play more safely or you level up and it's ok. Synthesis can be a pain but it is more time consuming (and a little luck-based) than difficult, don't be ashamed of using a guide to know where to search lol. And the third big thing, gummi missions, they're not as hard as I expected, except 2 or 3 (Hollow Bastion -> Traverse Town with no damage and 0 points, holy s**t). It took me about 90 hours, Kingdom Hearts is one of my favorite games, and playing it again in HD with trophies was a real pleasure, can't wait for the others. cloelea
since ill be getting all collectibles and secret boss fights on beginner with proud mode being the only mode u gotta be careful with on my next pt ill give this a 5.
SigmaCloud
Rated it a 4. Getting the synthesis materials and doing the gummi ship stuff is probably the most demanding stuff, but it really is just more time consuming if anything else.
Reinachii
Gave a seven. Would give a two but two parts are difficult. 1. The room at end before ansem. With spawn of demons angels and dark balls. On proud mode level 40. It's hard... Other than that I did all trophies on proud. Sephiroth etc synthesis. Etc... 2. Gummi missions can die in a hole. Atlantica / and the last traverse town. Therefore a seven..

hannah goes rawr
I decided to give it a 4/10. Nothing challenging, but the time it takes will drive you bonkers. 1700 Defenders and counting and I haven't pulled through with the last of the shields. Rubbercons
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix platinum difficulty (with guides) 6 Kingdom Hearts Final Mix platinum difficulty (without guides) 10 It was good back in 2002, it's still good now. Let's hop to it.. Game Clear: Proud- I had a much easier time finishing the game on proud than I did on normal. It pays to put care in leveling up rather than some silly trophy parameter. (speedster I'm looking at you!) One Winged Angel- Don't get it twisted.. Even on easy, Sepiroth can still put a bruising on you. Prepare well for this challenging fight. King of Synthesis- I had a blast collecting all the synthesis items, it was pretty easy too. (with guides, of course) A good trick to making monsters spawn a greater portion of the time is to go back or away two screens then return to the designated area. This method worked like a charm for me and was that much more effective than going back and forth between screens, netting me rare monster spawns 7 out of 10 times every time.. Just make sure you have the encounter up ability. 2. Gummi missions can die in a hole. Atlantica / and the last traverse town. Oh man, you said it! Those gummi ship missions are the bane of fun and merth. Regardless, onwards! Edited September 25, 2013 by Rubbercons Affirmations from like minded individuals are cathartic. Lidawano
Well, I just lost my 60 hour Proud Mode save due to my PS3 deciding to freeze during saving. Life no longer has meaning. Lost all interest in this game (which I was hanging out for for months) now which I only bought last week. Absolutely ****ing shattered. Had everything coming together nicely and now this. Cannot describe the level of emptiness felt after having invested so much of my past week on it. Robbed...

DarkShadowX
6/10 for me, and that's being slightly generous. The majority of the trophies are pretty easy, the only ones that gave me any sort of trouble were the Blueprint and Synthesis trophies, and even that one wasn't too bad since it seems luck was on my side on that part. Thedah
Giving this a 5/10. I've never played Kingdom Hearts before and I started on Proud mode. It was a struggle at first, but once I figured out the battle system and got helpful abilities like dodge roll, leaf bracer, guard, aero and cure Proud mode became much more manageable. Unchanging equipment, speedster, and undefeated trophies are easily done on beginner as well. If you have bad luck the synthesis and obtain all staves and shields trophies can be a pain since the drops are really rare. It took me 610 kills to get the Defender shield for Goofy, but I wasn't too upset because the shield dropped when I was at level 99, which is just one off of the level 100 trophy so you're killing two birds with one stone from all the grinding for materials/weapons. Lastly, the gummi ship missions aren't too hard either. There was only one mission where you have to score 260 points without collecting any items that I was really annoyed with. It wasn't particularly hard, but I had to do it 5 times before RNG was on my side and Monstro decided not to show up and ruin the day. So a tip for people going for the gummi blueprints trophy is to have Monstro spawn on Halloween Town's route since the gummi missions there are a lot easier. Overall, not a hard platinum, just time consuming. It took me 65 hours to platinum. Edited September 21, 2013 by Thedah
hannah goes rawr
One Winged Angel- Don't get it twisted.. Even on easy, Sepiroth can still put a bruising on you. Prepare well for this challenging fight. i really think it should be duly noted that at about level 95-100, if you had started on beginner's with the 8 Power Ups and 8 Guard Ups, the Sephiroth fight is really quite easy. if you keep Aeroga up he does laughable damage - the only thing to be wary of is the magic attack that critical damage and wipes your magic. all in all, i managed to beat him easily with only using one elixir.
