Mass Effect 2 will definitely give you way more bang for your buck. As much as I kind of dislike to say it since this is the Killzone 3 message board, it's true. It can be debatable though if you are someone who plays more multiplayer than single player.

This is a tough choice because both games are quality. 1 is a FPS and the other is an 3rd person action RPG. 1 can be platinumed within a few days (if that) and the other will take a while. So there's a few factors to think about. I highly recommend both games, so much so that they're included in my personal Staff Club. But if you only have the money for 1 of them, then I'll have to say I don't know which to recommend. They're both great games.

Depends on what you're more inclined to play right now, really. If you've got an itching for multiplayer or an fps in general - get Killzone 3. On the flip side, if you're into strong story telling and a like having a metric crap ton of stuff to do - get Mass Effect 2. Though, I'm biased towards ME2 (I have it for the Xbox 360) and I've completed it with multiple classes, many times. In the end ME2 will most definitely give you more bang for your buck.

i think it all comes down considering your own tastes. one is a fps and the other is an 3rd person shooter, so, if you want more bang for your buck, mass effect seems to be your choice. altough the multiplayer on killzone3 can extend the hours you play it too. on a personal level, i took this same choice, mass effect 2 or killzone 3, in the end i got killzone 3 becasuse i was waiting for the game for a long time, and because even when mass effect 2 got my attention a while ago, i wanted to play killzone 3.

Depends what kind of player you are, have you played KZ2? Did you enjoy it?
Do you like FPS more or RPG? If you have not played KZ2, go with mass effect. If you do not enjoy FPS as much as RPG, go with mass effect, otherwise, kz3. |

I payed full price for Killzone, and was very disappointed with Platinum in like 2 days. Unless you dont care that much for the trophies and will play online alot then buy it.
MassEffect2 has hours and hours of gameplay, I would choose this out the two. Story s ALOT better too.

For me personally, it's Mass Effect 2 all the way. I finished ME2 once and enjoyed every second of it, haven't got the platinum but I'll go back to it soon. Killzone 3 on the other hand, I got platinum but I didn't enjoy any of it at all (I'm a trophy whore, I know), granted I've never been much of a FPS fan, I bought into the hype and got KZ3 on launch day, played it for a week or so, traded in the game 4 hours after I plat'd it, that's how eager I was to get rid of it.
It's all down to your personal taste though, if you like FPS and like multiplayer, KZ3 will probably last a lot longer for you than ME2 would. |
