How is this compared to Singstar?

I have Singstar and a bunch of the other discs including Queen. I am sick of waiting for them to put out good U.S. songs. Doesn't seem like Karaoke Revolution is very popular, but does it have more U.S. hits than Singstar. Looking for a good singing game with lots of U.S. hits. I don't even know most of the artist or songs in the Singstar updates.

It depends on which Karaoke Revolution you're getting.

The NA release has 50 songs, most of which I know (I'm based in the UK). The EU release, which is the one I have, has 75 songs on it, most of which I also know. I would stick with the EU release if I were you, as you'll be bored to tears having to sing from a selection of just 50 songs.

The EU version has plenty of songs from US bands/singers, e.g. Taylor Swift, P!nk, Miley Cyrus, Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, REM - in fact, I'd say more than half the songs are from NA. And the non-NA songs, you'll know quite a few of them unless you've been living in a cave lol. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the EU release is just the NA release with 25 EU songs!

Well, looks like the EU release is NA release with 25 added songs. Most of the peeps in NA would not know the songs in Duetch (German) or French.

So for those living in NA I would NOT suggest importing the EU release. The money you would spend on importing the disc and dealing with the lower value of USD would likely be better spent buying tracks from the store, unless of course you know those French/German songs that would not be download-able to NA.

KR - Singstar

KR >>>> Singstar; it simply is much more fun, if u just play here and there ar w/ buddies; cuz online gaming is not possible due to no KR community, but if u dont wanna miss those singstar features as videouploads and stuff; better get some singstar DLC ...

i like the game pretty much (alto it was just rent to play, have fun and get platinum)

I have both Singstar and this game. In all honesty I like Karaoke Revolution more.
Ofcourse this could just be because I suck at Singstar and actually do really well in KR.
Basically if you've ever tried singing in Rock Band, that's exactly what playing KR is like.

All depends on your music taste. They don't contain hits of all ages, though you can find some pleasant rarely heard tracks . Try searching for another games of such type though.
