Similar concept but instead of a dad saving his daughter, Nier Replicant is about a brother (who is obliviously much younger) trying to save his younger sister. Sadly Square Enix thinks that Nier Gestalt is more suitable for the American audience while Replicant is more suitable for the Japanese audience. So basically America is stuck with the lame version.

edit: Flare, have you also played Nier Gestalt? It's really fun to play both games and see how the story changes based upon the main character. Both games have parts that really excel solely on their leads Last edited by Malice_Mizer; 06-01-2010 at 12:40 AM. Reason: Accidental spoilers |

Go for it! It's a little hard to come across on regular import sites right now because of back-orders but it's like $70 on eBay right around now. If you've played the USA Nier then you'll probably adjust very quickly, I know zero Japanese and I'm doing fine (and playing it with an Asian roommate helps
)
