I'm really surprised this game is without a forum, and a thread for it hasn't even been posted yet.
Does anyone here keep up with Shin Megami Tensei besides 5 or 6 people here I know? So, who all is interested and looking forward to this? What are your feelings about it? Thoughts on storyline connections to P3 and P4? Here, they talk a little about the home version of the game: Andriasang. And a little more here as well: Andriasang Last edited by Pyrofrost TheJRPGamer; 04-19-2012 at 05:44 AM. |

There actually is already a subforum for it in the TBA games at the very bottom. I for one am looking forward to the game and looks to play more closely to Guilty Gear than Blazblue did so I know a majority of the FGC will be looking forward to that.
Myself and another member by the name of Kurushii are moderators on the site MayonakaMidnight (think of it as the games Dustloop or SRK, special site specialized for the game) and preparing everyone for the games release, Kurushii created an amazing Gameplay Primer Thread to quickly bring people up to speed with the games unique mechanics and system.

I'm looking forward to it so much :P
After getting introduced to Blazblue I got back into fighting games again. But P4MA is more my Megaten fan side. Have played a couple of the games for PS2 and have the all persona games for the PS2 and PSP except P1 and P2EP. P3FES and P4 had the biggest impact on me :P Fantastic RPGs and addictive as hell I was sceptic about the idea for P4MA, then I saw gameplay vids and heard the Soundtrack. My pants can no longer be washed D: The only thing I think is silly is the USA name, P4 Arena -> P4A. So now we got 2 P4As.... Any reason they couldn't call it P4 Midnight Arena!? And thanks for the link Setsuna ![]() I rarely check dustloop except for balance changes since I don't play competitive and properly never will :S Last edited by Griever_Zero; 04-19-2012 at 09:05 AM. |

I agree the soundtrack is amazing lol I wish I knew why they shorten the name to Arena, I can understand the original name was a tad long but as you said now we have two P4A's lol. In the FGC most people are just calling it P4U still instead of P4A for the most part so I don't think it'll be too much of an issue in that regard. No problem they also have youtube channels, one where they upload various match videos and one where they upload gameplay samples, soundtracks and such like that. Recently Shadow Labrys came out in the arcades so I advise checking out the first channel if youre interested in her gameplay

A track you won't forgot once you heard it :P Shame that you haven't played the RPGs, from where I have seen you on PS3T I guessing your most into fighters. So I don't know your taste for RPGs, but P3FES was just released on the US PSN. Not a bad point to grap it maybe, but you can also do a bit of research on it first ![]() P1 and P2 are pretty different, so just P3 and P4 are fine for the most part. P3FES is an expanded version of P3, including more personaes and other small bonuses such as alt. costumes and a persona-to-weapon fusion. And a new story line to give 25-30 hours extra gameplay. It can only to played on HARD so it took me time to get through it. P3P for PSP is the newest version which had so cool things, taking some of the new ideas from P4 like fast travel and none AI party members possibility. And a main Female character point-of-view including some cameos, but the anime scenes were changed out for worse 3D scenes :S P4 is simple, only on PS2. There is also P4 Golden in-the-works for the Vita. Not so sure how many new things have made it into the game except new persona tier for party members and extended story. The anime was the pretty good. But not without issues. Only 2 shadow episodes were great but the Social links (those where he makes friends) came off so great. Still crossing my fingers for episode 25 on the blu-ray, hoping the can get that episode to end the series with a BANG!! I'm very curious about Labrys since this was the first time I have heard of her only to find out she is in the P3 Drama CDs, which have never been translated T_T I think Yu may be my choice of character or Kanji. Still time for Console exclusives to appear, so that may change

I have about 2 months of free time coming up so I'll probably spend alot of time playing the Personas (as well as Guilty Gear when I hook the PS2 back up). Episode 25 is coming out in the fall continuing with the True End I believe (When I saw the ending I thought to myself " ... this can't be how it ends and looked it up lol) Little is known about her right now, we'll probably know more during the console release. For now I this is as much about her as you'll find out right now. Yu is your straight forward main character of the game with a basic moveset though he does have some nasty mixup options with his Persona attacks. Kanji is the grappler of the game, he has pretty good air to air range so it's to just jump in on him and his grabs too sooo much damage. Anyway for the console release of Persona 4 Arena they've recently released a screenshot of the menu and from it I'm sure we can expect a Blazblue-esque list.

![]() And some more screens can be found here Andriasang Since they have created a somewhat cannon universe with P3 and P4, I am looking forward to seeing what happens. I just hope the reason Elisabeth is back isn't because
A cameo appearance from the demi-fiend and some P1 and P2 characters would be cool as well though. So I guess I can hope for a sequel. ![]() I will be expecting P5 to be in its own universe though. As P1 and P2 has its own universe, then P3 and P4 has its own universe. EDIT: Setsuna, I didn't realize your link was to the pic I posted, I'm sorry.

![]() I played the games before I had a PS3 but now I barely have time like you had for my other systems, The last story and Pandoras Tower are begging to be player. And yes, the last episode will cover the True ending and it should be around mid-august. Hmm. I had an idea Yu would be very basic, main chars always are. And had the idea too that Kanji was strong on graps. Saw that one where he summons Take-Mikazuchi that graps the opponent and sends them flying. So who would be close to Lambda from Blazblue in regards to playstyle? Let me guess, Naoto? DLC was expected >_< but some people on siliconera also mentions a possibility that it could a purchase system like BB Extends gallery. But we'll find out this summer

Well DLC like extra colors, system voices etc always happen but they aren't usually anything purposely left out of the game to rack in more money you know like

I just recently got P3P and I love it. I'm kinda disappointed that this is a fighting game. I wish a Persona game like P3P would come to console.
I'm still wanting to try this out though and hope it will be a lot of fun.
