Hi,
I live in the UK and was wondering where is the best place to buy Japanese games (other than Japan)? So far the only site I have been able to find is Play Asia. I still haven't ordered anything yet though.... There are four or five games I'd quite like to get and I want to shop around before committing my £$€¥. Thank you for any suggestions. ![]() Sophia x |

Yesasia.com is another good place to get games from but they tend to be more expensive then play-asia.com. Amazon.co.jp is best avoided as their prices are down-right extortionate at times
!

Amazon.co.jp definitely ship to the UK as I've bought several things from there over the years
but they're very expensive .

Thanks Terminator, I was heading to Play Asia and I clicked on the the Wiki link by mistake. I found this:
"Play-Asia suspended EU Sony importing After the lawsuit against Lik-Sang for importing NTSC-J PS3s and games to the EU, Play-Asia announced that it would no longer be shipping PlayStation products to the EU.[4] [5] Regardless of this, Play-Asia still ships PlayStation 1, PlayStation 2 and as of late 2010, select PlayStation 3 titles to certain parts of Europe." It's made me slighty more apprehensive about buying from Play Asia. Some of the games just look too good to pass up though. ![]() Sophia x Last edited by Sophia; 02-19-2012 at 03:49 PM. |

It depends on where you live, if you're in the UK or Germany then you will be fine
. I think that ruling only really applies to the consoles and not games, I've not heard of anyone In Europe having trouble ordering from Play-Asia.com though I could be wrong.

Pre-ordered Clannad last year and it arrived safely from Play-Asia. Expecting the same will happen with One Piece Kaizoku Musou. Would be quite furious if I don't get my hands on OP asap. Even took the 1-3 days shipping this time instead of the 21 days.

There are a few options. I normally use playasia. I use yesasia (or ebay) if they have an item playasia doesn't, and I use amiami for their preorder bonuses (be warned; amiami has atrocious shipping).
I live in the US, so I'm not so sure about these places' shipping policies to Europe, but you should check them out all the same. |

My order of preference is NCSX > Play-Asia > Amiami > eBay.
