Where's my Adventure Mode?

Seriously, what's going on? I just tried out the Crucible Mode and did the two trophies related to it. When I came back to the main menu or starting screen, the Adventure Mode was gone! All that was left was the option to start a whole new game. I hope my progress hasn't been wiped or or something.
