Well your stats go onto your save file, so for example if your stats go to zero, you will have this data as an automatic part of your save file. But if you restore your data over your old glitched data it will just replace it and you get your stats back. I copied my USB data over my glitched PS3 data and got my old stats back.

Sounds like there is no server-side saving of stats. Pretty shitty for a developer/publisher to do that. So you can use the same file across different accounts, or is it at least linked to the PSN sign-in/user?

No I don't think so, think it's coded to a user on the PS3. If you put it on another user think you will have the save data but you can't get the trophies.

if it is all saved in your save file, then it should be subject to modification. say you edit all the challenges to be 1 kill away from being finished, and then proceed to finish them all?

Unless you have the proper program to open and edit the stats, I'm sure the content will look like a bunch of jibberish.

I don't really understand what's wrong with the stat-recording. Many people got degraded.

I, myself, got degraded a few times, but after the game started the next round everything was ok. Besides only the rank changed not any progess regarding my challenges. Somehow I started playing again today and I know that I was rank 68 but I started with rank 70. After a few rounds my ps3 froze and after I started the game again I was promoted to rank 75 (challenges didn't change progress-status)

Really weird xD

Anyone experienced the same?
