You should be able to tilt it as fast as you want. Just make sure it is perfectly flat.

My anger flowed through my hands at every jerk of the controller; so they were all really fast, lol.

Wow, I'm amazed so many people had trouble with this.
I haven't been on the forums at all, afraid to accidently spot a spoiler or two until I finished the game.

I was going over some of the trophies I missed, and Kamikaze was one of them.
Before reading this post, I tried it a couple of times, and never had a problem with moving with tilt from the cop car. Since I started playing the game, it shows you when titling to hold the controller a certain way, which is stright, not 45 degree. Thats the only real way it will register correctly. Same goes for the up/down movements. C'mon guys, the game even shows you a little picture of the controller, and it's straight!
Didn't anybody snap to this?

Well, I guess spmebody did finally lol.

Anyway, congrats to everybody who is getting the trophy to pop up for them, and I am so relieved to hear that it was human error not a glitch.

While the reliable way to get this trophy is to do it without missing any QTE, you can also get it with mistakes. I failed the last QTE right before the crash but the trophy dinged.

Yeah, I saw how they wanted you to hold it on the loading screen, but who would have known that 45 degrees even mattered?

It's how I naturally hold a controller and I was still getting all of the QTEs right. If a person is passing the QTEs then wouldn't they think that they are doing it right? lol

Either way, I hope anyone that is having trouble looks here because holding the controller a certain way WILL keep you from getting this trophy.
And frankly, I find that to be a bit ridiculous.

I wish I could go back and test this out but I hate adding profiles on my PS3. I'm too OCD to even consider doing that, lol.

But, according to the trophy description you are probably right. It only talks about going the correct path and going right when next to the police car is the correct direction to take when you think about it.

From what I have gathered:
1. Hold the controller flat at all times
2. L,R,LL,RRRRR (last one could be Left but why complicate it?)
3. Tilt Right while beside police car (Remember: Flat=No scraping)
4. Don't even have to get all the QTEs? Good news!
5. Hate the programmers not the game...lol

I hear you on that. The game kind of forces you to forget how you do everything, including how you hold you're controller. It took me a good while playing through the game to get used to holding the controller flat whenever a motion squence occured. It seemed that 9 times out of 10, if I hald it any other way, I would miss on the first attempt.
