Story: One of my favourite stories in a PS3 game. It's really engaging and very well written, and the fact that your actions can change the course of play means that it's not predictable. 9/10
Gameplay: It's unlike anything I've ever played before. The fact that you have to control every aspect of the characters rather than just make them walk adds a real unique element to the game and certainly makes you appreciate the characters more. 10/10 Controls: They can be a little iffy at times, especially the QTE's that require you to move the wireless controller in the desired direction, but overall it's not too bad and you'll soon get the hang of it. 7/10 Graphics: The graphics are absolutely amazing. The attention to detail in the characters faces in particular is remarkable. 10/10 Sound (Gameplay): There's some nice sound work done here too. Again, there is a lot of attention made to smaller things such as doors opening and moving a chair etc. 8/10 Sound (Music): The music is lovely. The tone is just right for this game, and really helps to set the scene and immerse you further into the environment. 9/10 Wow Factor: Heavy Rain will blow you away. In fact, I'm still amazed by it now even though I've finished it. It really leaves a lasting impression on you. 10/10 Replay Value: The game offers some good replayability in that there are 18 different endings to unlock, each of which are determined by your actions in the game. 8/10 Multiplayer Experience: N/A Rent or Buy this Game? I personally bought this game, but you may want to consider renting it as not many people may return to it after they have obtained the . Saying that though, it's an absolute gem of a game that needs to be in any avid PS3 gamer's collection.Your Personal Verdict & Your Final Rating: Use the Poll! Overall, Heavy Rain is one of my favourite PS3 games ever. I was totally captivated by it, and the fact that it's so unique made me value it even more. Adding up all of my scores and finding the average gives Heavy Rain an overall verdict of 9/10 for me. It's an abolsutely fantastic game and I can't recommend it highly enough. I played it and I thought the game mechanics were awesome.
Also, the storyline, sound and even the character expressions were great. I felt as if it was my first time playing interactive drama games (though I have already played Fahrenheit). The only thing I didn't like much was the impossibility to skip some really annoying cutscenes. My overall rating: 9,5/10 |

Gameplay - Very enjoyable and very involved. You pretty control everything from turning the steering wheel to brushing your teeth. Although this is unusual, it is also very unique and very engrossing. 8/10
Story - A brilliant story of four characters (all playable) as they try and solve the mystery of the Origami Killer and try to prevent him from claiming another victim. The fact that your actions can result in 22 different endings almost gives several stories in one. 10/10 Graphics - Highly detailed facial and body animation is very impressive and not like anything I've seen before. 9/10 Controls - Very simple, although the controls that utilise the motion controls of the Sixaxis can take some getting used to. 8/10 Design - A beautifully made game with sombre environments to compliment the general feeling of the game. No bugs or glitches encountered. 9/10 Music - A wonderful and emotional score. One of the best features of this game. 9/10 Sound effects - Pretty simple everyday stuff really. Cars, rain (heavy, of course), and some emotional voice acting, which could be better. 9/10 Multiplayer - n/a Replay Value - With 22 different endings, the replay value is immense. So many different outcomes in the game and in side stories as well mean that you can't wait to start up the game again and make a different decision to see what happens. 10/10 Overall Experience - A rare gem of a game, like nothing I have ever played before that must be experienced by all PS3 gamers. 10/10 Total Score - 9.1/10 (voted 9 in poll)
