Self IMprover and Champion trophy not unlocking

Self Improver & Champion of Challenges don't seem to be working for me. I spent 10+ minutes scrolling down to find a low score on Dance, Dance and I smoked the score and it said at the end I beat it.

I did this a few times and each time it would say I beat that person's score. I also did this to myself and it also said I beat my own score.

Is there something I am doing wrong or what?

I would like to know the same thing. those trophies aren't unlocking for me either.

The only thing I can think of for trophies not unlocking is a cheat is activated.

I don't know any cheats so unless I accidentally inserted one. Which is like a 1% chance haha.

The disheartening thing is, it tells me whenever I play it that, so and so beat my score lol.!

Cheats unlock through game progress and can easily be turned on. Double check make sure cheats are all off and if they are then you might need to delete your data maybe? Make a dud profile to send your save too it and try again on a new save. If it still happens then at least you can send your original save back to your main account.

Are you actually challenging one of the challenges or just playing the song?

You have to, in VERY basic steps:
* choose a song you want to play;
* hit green button;
* choose STAR CHALLENGES;
* go down to a challenge that you want to beat; most probably the 'points' one;
* hit green button;
* for Self Improver, highlight your own score and hit green button - beat it;
* for Champion of Challenges, highlight someone else's score (going for global scorelist works) and hit green button - beat it.

It won't work if you just 'play the song' and get more points than before - you have to actually target your own or someone else's score and then beat it.
