It's very important to use a checklist. If you don't get AWP after you complete everything, you are going to have to do everything again until you get it because the servers didn't register the wins correctly. Good luck you'll need it.

Huge thanks RedEye for the tips. I was having a lot of trouble with the "Taking it for the team" trophy a few days ago. I had played all the team games many times over but the trophy didn't unlock. With your tips in mind, I went back and played a Turf War and Team Car Jack City making sure everything went right according to what you said and sure enough, after just those two matches I got the trophy. I always had trouble finding those two types of games with enough players so I figured they were the problem. Luckily I found a couple big games.

Then I set up a private game with my two PS3s, played about 15 races and I got the "Top of the Midnight Club trophy. I did every race variation, then played Mafiya Work and up popped the AWP trophy! Makes sense since I know I've played plenty of all the other modes I didn't need to replay for the trophy.

Figured I'd let you know. Just more proof that your advice works for anyone going for the trophy in the future.

well congratulations to you sir...for taking information correctly provided to you and appropriately applying it to your situation. i've been telling people for months that you don't have to do anything in this game in one online session...but they sure don't like to listen. there are all sorts of tid bits and nuances that can affect your statistical records and close scrutiny combined with the proper knowledge has always led to successful results....and there are many people who can attest to that personally.

I know many people that got their trophy after the 20th-25th EXTRA race after "completing the list" - including me - mine was the third track on GTA RACE which made complete sense after realization and matched up with loose memory of those races.

unfortunately there is no way to tell by looking at the statistics if a certain win is dodgy or not. your only clues would be your memory of each individual game. if you can't remember a certain variant that could have been dodgy...then there's no choice but to start at square 1 and work your way all the way through the list again. So the AWP bug has been patched, and this is confirmed? That is, you DONT have to do it all in one online session anymore, right? If this is true I might try to go for this platinum again, since AWP was the only thing putting me off it.

I don't think it was patched. It's just that we didn't understand the bug.

Right, you NEVER have to do it in one session. It can be done in multiple sessions. You can turn off your ps3 and your gta anytime and you'll get your trophy, don't worry. NO one session.

a victory does not count if you are the only player remaining. a victory does not count if at least two participants do not continue on to the next game. if you lose connection during the race, get booted, or exit out right after the race without continuing to the next lobby you will not get credit for your races

So if I win a game and at least one person from the previous game joins me in the next game, it counts as a victory. And if while in the lobby everyone leaves and I get new people, it counts as a loss?

hmmmm..i had some people leave with just me left all of the time and i got this on my first run!!

How? Didn't you get the "Only Player Remaining" or something message? When I was playing a race and everybody left, I continued playing the race for about 1 min, then I got the "Only Player Remaining" message and I left the race.
