Default Our Own TGTT Lap Times?

Just an idea. We could make a leaderboard to see which cars are the fastest in the game. Similar to top gear. It's just a rough idea.

Obviously the X1 and F1 cars would be the fastest, we would have to split it up in to categories like Race cars and Road cars.

Any thoughts?

I find it amusing that they can make cars that park themselves but wal-mart is still having trouble with doors that open themselves.

You should state a couple of different cars each week. They should be cars with no modifications. Then whoever posts the fastest time then that's the time which goes on the board . We could then compare to the real top gear leaderboard!

I'll fully support any action regarding this. We should however split times into PP, i.e. up to 300, 350, 400 etc. I'll look forward to any development...

This is a good idea, But it would need to be the same people posting lap times each week to make it fairer and work out the average of there times and post it, also i think default settings would be best.

one more thing maybe a vote each week for what car to use

other than that this is a great idea

brilliant idea.. but if i may make a suggestion? it's a bit more to take notice off, but why not do a hot lap with a standing start, just like in the real Top Gear show? and yes i know, you'll have to start the lap over every time, instead of flying across the start/finish, but when you want to compare the GT5 times with the real ones it's what we should do anyway, otherwise the times won't match..

Alright.
Lets setup some rules...
First off all cars must be stock, do you think oil changes should be allowed? cause the GT oil is racing oil... I personally think that the oil change should not be allowed (racing oil is much better than road oil)

Sports Hard Tryes or less ONLY. (except for racing hard on the Zonda R. Even though its not on the PLT Board, they still made a good time with slicks.)

All assists off, including skid recovery force. I think ABS is ok since almost all cars have it and you cant turn it off in a car... Maybe limited to 1?

Manual transmission ONLY.

Stop starts ONLY, NO ROLLING STARTS. Stop before the line in practice mode

All camera views are ok, i guess...

Anything else?

Anyway, i'll try to get a list of the top gear power lap times of some of the cars in the game...
