Default Using a PC wheel on GT5

Is it possible to use and older wheel that works on PC and PS2? I tried mine, but the controls are all messed up, and I can't find any menu to remap them.

I absolutely cannot afford to buy another one, so I really hope there's some way to make it work properly.

Oh, and a quick question: If I play the game on two different consoles, how do the saves/trophies/PSN account work? Can I log in on both at the same time? Do saves and trophies auto-sync? (sorry if it sounds stupid, bought my PS3 recently)

Many thanks.

Do saves and trophies auto-sync? -Trophies will sync if you sync them, not sure about the saves but you can use the cloud save thingie if you're a plus member or you can copy the saves to the other console. There shouldn't be any problems with trophies if you remember to sync.

Not sure about the wheel and logging in, sorry hope i helped a bit.

Which specific wheel model are you trying to use, and have you tried searching google for "gt5 (insert your wheel name) compatibility" ....?

You helped a lot, I'll try transfering the saves to the other console later. Thanks.

That's one of the problems, apparently the wheel I've bought is produced and sold only in my country, and it's hard to find any info how to fix it. In the box, it says Leadership Twin Turbo.

Also, GT5 does recognize it, but pedals function as up and down arrows, X button is the handbrake, and so on. And since the buttons are numbered and the layout is very different from the others, what could I possibly do to remap them?

EDIT: I think I found the main problem. I read in the manual that the wheel automatically uses the pedal as Y Axis when it's on a USB port, and sets the pedals to X and Square buttons when it's on the PS2 port. Since the PS3 only has the USB ones, does anyone have any idea on what to do?

As already mentioned, remember to sync your trophies, you'll have no problem with your save file just copy it and always replace the older file with the newer one. Like, I've used my save file on a friend's PS3 and vice versa you'll have no issue as long as you just use the new file so you're not repeating stuff pointlessly.

I'd advise you purchase a USB stick if you don't have one already, allows you to upload to save cloud whenever you want, but you must wait 24 hours to download the file, which is pointless if you're going to be changing frequently between two or more consoles.

You cannot sign into the same on multiple systems at the same time, sign out on one system and you can then sign in on the other.

Thank you. Just one last thing regarding this topic: If I play offline on that PS3, will trophies unlock as soon as I log in? Or do I have to be permanently logged in on that system? And does GT5 have to be updated there too?

If you play offline you should log in for syncing at least in the end of the session OR the next time you play GT use the same console.
