You have GT5 and FM4 ? Please come in

First of all I don't want to start an fanboysm war here; so unless you can post comments with real value please control yourself from writing anything.

I currently own a xbox360 and after playing FM4 with a regular controller I started to feel something was missing and that is a racing wheel but after checking the prices of the CSR wheel and CSR elite wheel + their pedals + shifter (the official racing wheels for FM4) I've wondered if wouldn't it be better to buy a PS3 with GT5 + Logitech G27 or at least the Logitech GT?

This is where this post is headed to, what are your thoughts about both games as racing simulators ?

I don't care about:
- which sounds better
- which looks better
- which have better damage modeling

I can't deny GT5 has some features I'd love to see in FM4 as:
- weather control
- night racing
- rally / dirt

But Rivals mode in FM4 is amazing and the menus are a lot better and the car selection is truly the best part of it, as a reviewer said "the car selection in FM4 is much more balanced, you don't get 12 Ferraris and 140 Nissans (talking about GT5), of which almost one third are skylines"

But as much as a game can offer if it doesn't feel good to play, in this case the racing sensation, it fails.

So... what are your thoughts ?. Thanks.

For a driving game, I place realism way higher than anything else, in terms of the way the cars handle and react, and so there is simply no comparison, for me.

What's the point of having (sic) a "better" car selection, if it feels like you're paying Ridge Racer? And yes, I have played both games that we are discussing here.

Get GT5, get a decent wheel set (ie- G27), and the only thing you're missing is the smell of petrol fumes. Job done.

I have tried Forza 4 a couple of times, and must admit it's WAAAAY better.
I like the bigger variety in cars, and all cars have a detailed interior view unlike some other game... And it has Köenigsegg in it favorite car brand ever!!!! Forza is simply just superior!

Gt5 doesn't have detailed interior view on all cars ill give you that, but it's premium cars have the best interiors ever in a racing game!

Rather 300 premium cars, than 200 premium, and 800 standard ugly cars from GT4.

Also less japanese cars. No nissans, mazdas, toyotas and so everywhere! I want exotic cars! Not japanese junk from the 80ish.

And the tracks are cooler

I love your arguments, or the lack of them!

Now if you dont mind ill go play gt5 with a supported wheel ( g27 ) not a remote control, and i think ill drive my "boxy like gt4" cars on a night race, or maybe snow, or a dirt track, maybe while it's raining, or just maybe an endurance race, to see that beautiful sunset!

Then ill probably go for a formula 1 test drive, or some fun with kart's!

Or trying the fastest car in the world, gt5 exlusive x2011!

Yes I got a wheel too for GT5 anf have played for more than 100 hours in it, so I know what I like. And the X2011 is not the fastest car in the world, it's the fastest car in the game... And maybe GT5 IS better. I'm maybe just getting tired of it. But if you can't accept people have opinions, then don't sign up for a site like this. You started this fight...
