About a week ago I decided to find out which of these 10 supercars is the fastest. I kept them stock apart from Soft Sport tyres and did 5 laps of Nurburgring GP/F in each one to see which one is the fastest.
There was room for improvement with each one so the list would probably change a bit if I did more laps. I think the Viper can make up a lot of time. It was hard to get a good lap. But one thing is certain. Not one of them would beat the Lamborghini. It's almost 2,5 seconds faster than the Ferrari. I did not expect that. It's probably because of the four wheel drive. The GT-R SpecV was quite suprising too. It has the least horsepower, pp and it weighs the most and still came in 3rd. It's just so easy to drive and fast aswell.
*Added later Was pretty fun to do. The cars all handle very different. I would like to test more groups of cars. Maybe one of you knows a group I can test. Last edited by leepangfu; 08-26-2011 at 12:39 PM. |

maybe replace the murcielago with a gallardo if its destroying the competition? i've done this a couple of times around the top gear test track although my cars are fully tuned with racing softs. When i do it the Mclaren F1 tops the list, followed by the Corvette ZR1 and then suprisingly by the GTR 07. I also put the zonda R around it but its a little unfair seeing as its a race spec car, demolishes everything by about 4 seconds. When i run these tests i laugh every time at how poorly the veyron performs, by my times an F430, R34 and even a supra all run better times.

Nice list there... Interesting the Lamborghini and the dodge have the same PP, but big difference in times.... Just shows the engineering a design elements involved and general poor overall performance for US cars....

I picked this list because I though the performance of the cars would be close. That's why I didn't pick the Mclaren F1, Enzo etc. Never thought the Murcielago would be so much faster. I actually thought I used Racing Soft by accident first but it were Sport soft. The Gallardo was probably a better choice.

Tried the Gallardo now and did a 2:07,118. So I guess Lamborghini's are very good in this game. I'm going to add some more supercars. Feel free to add your own if they are stock with Soft sport tyres.
Here's a list of cars I still want to add: Ferrari 599 Ferrari F40 Ferrari F430 Ferrari F430 Scuderia Ferrari California Maserati GranTurismo S Alfa Romeo 8C Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Audi R8 4.2 Mercedes SLR Dodge Viper SRT10 TVR Tuscan Speed 6 Nissan GT-R Mclaren F1 Ferrari Enzo Bugatti Veyron Last edited by leepangfu; 08-26-2011 at 12:45 PM. |
