It looks like a prequel but a few other people have pointed this out and I'm starting to agree; judging by both the title and a few possible hints in the trailer, it may actually be both a sequel and prequel. It might have something to do with the end of God of War III and involve time travel similar to God of War II, but this lets Kratos go back to the beginning or something.

Who knows. Something tells me it's not a simple cut prequel though.

Pretty cool news since I enjoyed all of the God of War games. I'll be waiting for more information on this.

The one about Sengoku BASARA? I know about the HD Collection but its not going to be released outside of Japan.

i am a little worried. i loved everythink about god of war 3, if this is a prequal and set before the other god of wars then what powers will he have and will he have the blades on chains on his arms?? im sure it will be good anyway but i just loved the combat and dont want it to change???
