I completely took it apart (every last piece), cleaned it, and did a reflow on the motherboard. A reflow is where you heat the motherboard to get the solder so hot again that all the pieces re-seat on the board. It took me 5 hours (I was slow and careful) and I am now considering repairing them for extra money. I am not working so I might do this as a side job. I have built and rebuilt several dozen computers (I even have 7 working in my house...hehe) The PS3s really are a lot like any computer and not as complicated as they seem. I mean I wouldn't be able to rebuild a disc player but they are easy to switch out with a new one that can be bought cheaply. Upgrading one should be really easy too and I might make myself a 500 gig hard drive version soon. |

game froze for me at the exact same location, when you walk down a set of stairs and books fall off the shelves. I think there are too many books and you have to wait until they all lie on the ground (too many objects to handle for the PS3?).
Another thing: is it normal that you lose the chapter select once you complete the game? I wanted to go back for some bronze trophies but I only have 'New Career' in the menu.... |
